  1. Is it bad conditioning or just pure bad luck with all these injuries.

It is on the radar, strength and conditioning, but add in flexibility and mobility moving forward. Always have the element of luck, bad luck in our case with injuries.

I think Studsrud makes some plays today with his legs as it will be an instinct upon feeling pressure. I hope he practiced sliding after he gets the first down. With Studsrud's 80 on the ground I expect our backs to be good for 60 = a decent game on the ground. Just speculating.

  2. LMAO.

I guess that's why my cousin who went to UND and lives in Dickinson calls me after every Bison game that he watches each Saturday and drives to Fargo twice a year to tailgate.

Besides people who have kids at UND, I don't know a single NDSU fan who spends their Saturdays in GF watching UND football.

Please tell us more personal stories about your brother Daryl and your other brother Daryl. You're testimonials are so influential.

  3. True football rivals don't have their alumni converting to fans of the other football team, tailgating at their football games, attending games of the other football team, and going to Frisco to support the other football team.

I work with a guy who is in his 50's and graduated from UND. He told me last week he hasn't seen a UND football game since 2006. I asked him why and he said him and his wife, who also graduated from UND, spend their Saturdays tailgating at NDSU football games so it is hard to catch UND games! True story.

So 1 example of a sell-out makes your whole case. You are an idiot, true story.

  4. Really? A rivalry game has value even if it's not fun. Wow, that is so warped it's truly sad.

Pouring your heart and soul into a game makes it naturally exciting and yes, fun. You don't wake up in the morning and just declare you are going to have fun. That's the point. No passion, no excitement, no build up, no trash talking, no fun.

  5. Couldn't agree less. IMO, the UND game is not, and has never been, fun. The level of animosity is poisonous to both schools.

"Fun" games are not about hatred and venom. NDSU's rivalry with SDSU is, for instance, 10X more fun than its old, tired, and toxic intrastate rivalry.

"Fun", I could give a crap less.  I like Woodie Hayes pushing his car across the state line so he didn't have to fuel up in Michigan "Passion".  So you clearly have no idea what a rivalry is.

  6. EWU's offense is better than SUU

Is our defense that banged up?  Why such a high score for EWU?

We've been flopping on the road.  They have really good receivers and seem to get them open.  And, Eastern is coming off a loss and want to prove a point.

    42-10, likely blow-out.

  7. Wow, NDSU fans don't like something until they try it? The two schools have played 110 times by my count.

We've tried it ... we don't like it..

You are too big of a pussy to even know what a rivalry is.  Talk to the guys that played or are playing, nothing beats a true rivalry game. (not a made up one, SDSU)

  8. From a Bison fan I know -

Bison students send back 400 unused tickets for this weekends game......the biggest game of the year against their rival SDSU.  How can that be?  It's a good thing their is enough Concordia and MSU grads in town to scoop them up and hop on the wagon.

  9. It's not true that only a few, but very vocal, "squeaky wheels" don't want, or are not interested in, a renewal of the game. Certainly not among Bison fans.

I guess we have our different sources.  This is a UND football site, I'm surprised you are still lingering since you don't even care about playing us.  Or you are probably an arrogant prick that needs the last word.....  No one cares what you say, now scram.

  10. Why did they play UNI in 2006 then? They were not on a level playing field. Why does UND schedule FBS teams when they are not on a level playing field? You guys are so dam two faced in your arguments. The scholarship debate the good for the state debate. All BS.

UND did not want to help NDSU in 2003 or 2004 and thought they would fail at D1 athletics. The time has turned and now you want to play NDSU to earn your credibility in recruiting battles. Nothing else could explain that desperate humiliating offer UND accepted from NDSU to play in 2015 and 2019. No football program who is on a level playing field, as you oh so frequently remind NDSU of, would accept a ludicrous offer like that other than a bottom feeder program trying to do whatever it can to rise up.

In 1981 and 1993, you did not have NDSU playing bitch to UND or UND playing bitch to NDSU like that. The gap now is far greater than it ever has been. You are throwing a Hail Mary with NDSU sitting there having nothing to gain.

Bubba has a personal conviction that the game should be played every year and he doesn't care where.  It's as simple as that.  You spin it as you want.

  11. Look at the comments the IW coach made before the NDSU on what a win against NDSU would do for their program.

IW had a thought of winning that game.........hard to believe.  I got it, only teams that play NDSU have a glimmer of hope at legitimacy.  Thanks for setting the record straight.

  12. Darrell1976,

There is no point in arguing this. You are wrong, as usual.

You want the game because you think beating NDSU is your key to success. Nothing wrong in admitting it.

The only way you can become legit is playing NDSU, I'm sure Incarnate Word is taking that to the bank!!  You are a delusional narcissistic prick.  I know at least 50 NDSU fans.......not by choice but through business.  And, I do a home and away with a few NDSU guys most years, like this year.  I don't know 1 NDSU guy that is against playing UND every year.  But I guess I hang out with real fans that are real men, which is more than I can say about you.

  13. I guess I don't want to play UND anymore because I don't see anything to gain out of it. Look at recruiting right now. NDSU is dominating ND and Minnesota FCS talent.

If the rolls were reversed, why would you even want to give NDSU the sniff of an opportunity to gain credibility through a win? Not saying I am scared. I am very confident NDSU will crush UND next year, but stranger things have happened.

I think there is also a small fraction of fans who want UND to burn for as long as possible for ending the rivalry in 2003 when we moved up. You guys can point to the whole D2 wins playoff argument but the fact simply is that the rules for D2 playoff games were changed that summer. Admit it or not, Roger Thomas thought he would be burying NDSU buy not playing them. It turned out to be the exact opposite . I guess a lot of NDSU fans don't feel like helping UND out by giving you a shot at getting a jump start for your program, when UND would not help NDSU out when we struggled to find games. For the record I am not one of those guys. I don't dwell on the past.

The whole state would gain something from it.  Have you ever watched the NFL films bit on the UND/NDSU rivalry.  If not go ahead and google it, watch it, then see what you think about the game.

  14. I don't go on BV but it sounds like that is the opinion there too.  I've seen some Facebook posts from people in the past year saying they'd rather NDSU play other schools and not waste their time with UND.  Then I also this past February when I was with my long time HS friend who went to NDSU about if the rivalry should be renewed, and just kinda shrugged and was like.....ehh, basically saying that nah we are past you guys and there is nothing good in it for us anymore.  And this is a close friend who we went to the two schools in maybe the best part of the rivalry...early 90's who lived some of those great games so I thought he would agree it would be awesome to have that game back, and even he didn't really want it back. I agree UND-FB-FAN......they will always be our biggest rival.   Out of teams we play regularly now I would say our biggest rival is easily Montana, but that doesn't come close to the UND-NDSU rivalry.

NDSU fans saying the rivalry with UND is gone or doesn't mean anything is just idiot speak.  Valley News had a story last night on the big NDSU/SDSU rivalry for a lame rock and it wasn't even believable.  For the new comers (mostly the elitist Bison fans that jumped on the Band Wagon 4 years ago even though they graduated from Concordia) and for those with short memories the game next year will bring things back to life.

  15. With all due respect to the student-athlete, Hanson is terrible. He's not even close to a DI QB. He's more of a local relations player due to his Grafton roots. I'm guessing Bubba and his staff have absolutely no confidence in Hanson's ability, and quite frankly, I don't blame them.

If Bartels can't go, Srudsrud should be the guy. You ALWAYS play the best and ALWAYS try to win. It's not fair to the seniors to play an incapable player if he's not the best on the roster.

As Bubba has said, you always do whats best for the TEAM! Not individuals.

You nailed it. You don't crap on the team, especially the seniors to 'save' a shirt. If we put Hanson out to run our Stoney Brook offensive package for 4 games we wouldn't be able to look ourselves in the mirror and say we did our best.

  16. I have to defend North Dakota all the time - dissing other communities is immature and classless. As many times as North Dakota gets cheap shotted all around the country by people who have never been there we should know better.

So no opinions of communities in North Dakota.......thanks Sheriff.  I'm sure Glen is offering romantic canoe rides as we speak to recruits.

  17. That would contradict what the Insiders bloggers put out (however, upon further review they are hedging talking about "dinged" and wanting to see how practice goes Tuesday).

Maybe depends if it is his throwing shoulder or not. In theory, one could play with an injured shoulder, non throwing arm, would be gutsy.

  18. So its fine to impugn me but your gonna defend 89rabbit to the end.  Got it.  Your lawyer training makes it all right?

89rabbit was likely a scam artist through and through that had his wife do the dirty deed and take the fall for him.  He gets a Disney cruise and a family vacation on other peoples stolen credit, but he says that he doesn't know where the funds came from?  "She" had done it before.

Must have been awfully embarrassing to have a couple like 89rabbit with his wife in charge of the SDSU alumni group.

That gives a different meaning to the word "Jack"- or should it be "Jacked".

  19. I have a few friends that played for NDSU, but who UND wanted bad. One was recruited under Lennon and the other 2 under Muss.

What Joe Glen said closely resembled what they told me about their visits with UND. They said more time was spent trying to convince them why NDSU and SDSU sucked rather than time spent discussing the program at UND.

That's a joke bro. I haven't heard a coach from UND say a bad word about any program......and I have prodded the last 20 years. Get lost.
