I’m sure they have different face off drills. I’m not entirely sold on McLaughlin being a natural center. He’s timid and underweight. I agree with you. Johannes creates and disrupts a lot of plays on his own. Perfect for the middle of the ice.

We’ve done it in the past, where once we win the draw, the center comes off the ice. Schmaltz for Johannes. It works. The idea is to use Blake to create space for Perron and Gaber, our best shooters. Right now, it’s just Gaber and Blake passing the puck back and forth. It’s way too predictable.

Our top power play should be Johannes in the slot. Perron on the left, Gaber on the right. Britt/Weibe and Blake on the blue line.

We can all agree that this was a disappointing performance. This team was hyped after getting all of the transfers in. Then Manitoba happened. Then the men looked pretty good against the Badgers. Reality hits when you play only 20 minutes of 60 minute hockey, against arguably the best team in the sport. It’s not necessarily that they lost, but how they lost. Your Captain has to be one of your better players on the ice, and not a liability….

How about all the breakaways so far this year? What’s the deal.
