    Great teams win most games convincingly. Good teams don’t win every game, but they at least make them competitive. Absolutely crazy how we go from the beat down of NDSU at the Alerus, to the embarrassment of Saturday on the worst turf I’ve ever seen. This kind of up and down play is very concerning.

    His numbers at Mankato are crazy. The legal stuff appeared to be socially and politically motivated to a degree. Not wise to have personal things on a work phone, but seems to be a winner.

    It’s really about structure. Friday, Minnesota played very sound team defense, and got into UNDs head. Saturday, UND was better with their forecheck, and Minnesota got into penalty trouble. Close kept the Goofs in the game during the second period, and that allowed them to get back into the game in the third. UND will need to start capitalizing on the scoring chances, because turnovers and odd man rushes will be plentiful against them. Team defense should improve, but you have to bury your chances against good teams like Minnesota. If the defense can stay healthy, this team could be close to unbeatable by the end of the year.

    NDSU destroys Western, and UND gets destroyed by Northern. Coaches are responsible to have the team ready to go, with a game plan. UND was no where near prepared for this game. It was never competitive.
