  1. Pure speculation From SB Nation 42. Mark Senden (#10 Gold) 5-10/175 Wayzata High School - He's on the smaller side and projects as a third or fourth line player in college who could be a good penalty kill specialist. He was tenacious and got his stick in lanes on the backend. Offensively he's more of a setup guy in the attacking zone. Or one of the two defeners 24. Harmon Sorenson (#6 Royal) 5-9/160 Wayzata High School - He had good vision and was a strong skater. He did a good job pushing the puck up ice. 25. Tristan Moss (#7 Kelly) 6-2/209 Wayzata High School - He was a little overmatched here due to his lack of speed and inability to read plays as well as some of the higher-tiered blue liners. However, his size is intriguing and with a little more development, he could be a solid shutdown fifth or sixth defender in college.
  2. I know Powe and Karcz for sure didn't get to see the others though.
  3. Is that in socks or skates though? Do we know? I went to school with simonson and no way he was at 5'10" in high school.
  4. Think we all knew it was going to happen but Ryan Mantha signed with Niagara is official Ryan Mantha‏@RMantha410 hrs Extremely excited to be part of the Niagara Ice dogs @OHLIceDogs
  5. If we can get another big like Ashley Langan from years back I'm fine with that. Loved watching her play. Don't we only have 2 seniors on this next years team so some of them are probably not getting much scholarship money than?
  6. Just watched both of their highlights again. It's been a long time coming to get a guy like Brady, we get a running back that isn't afraid to get get physical or shy away from tacklers. Also I'm liking what I saw from Engwall, he showed various different moves as well as some nice form tackling which will be a nice change from some previous recruits. Although I do hope that he gets bigger for his senior year, you can see he has the physical tools but also there is room for him to get bigger. Should be a good get from what seems to be a pretty good team from a recruiting standpoint.
  7. Undsports has done a little coverage recently on the team. I personally am thinking that the team will have some success because meeting and seeing some of Pryor's practices it has the feel of a big things on the horizon

    Fall Camp

Give Stanley a redshirt and in a few years he might be one of the successful walk-on stories we need a few more of.
  9. http://www.sbncollegehockey.com/college-hockey-recruiting-ncaa/2014/8/3/5960209/minnesota-model-camp-report Got to think some potential recruits were at this camp. Maybe/hopefully a goalie for the future.
  10. Thing is I think that they will benefit for a year or two more. I just hope that Bubba can go out and put together a solid team and then we can compete more for these top end recruits. I was really hoping for Robbins, as his brother I think goes to UND but his mom was a NDSU basketball player, and Darnell, as his sister goes to UND. I think, hopefully, the Bison will fall a little but will still probably win a couple play off games the next couple of years. But if Bubba can make a run at playoffs in 2 or 3 years I think we will become more competitive with these recruits, especially the ones with ties to UND. This next year is very important in my opinion on the future success of UND football in the next 2 or 3 years.

    Fall Camp

I realize that it is early but reading through the recap's of the practice and seeing names like Kyle Ruhe, Luke Fiedler, Zach Adler, and Luke Stanley has to be a good sign. We all want to see the tight end's involved and it's great to see them starting the process of getting them involved this early.
  13. Nick Fuher is an assistant coach at Penticton now. Maybe an in for Tyson Jost or Dante Fabbro to UND??? We have had some good players from Penticton in the past he can only help us out there one would think. http://www.pentictonwesternnews.com/sports/267957461.html
  14. Looks like he was only 6'2" as a sophomore so he might have some more room to grow as well.
  15. Looks like mattson and kierstad are representing the usa u17 team. #1 Thunder draft pick, Mitchell Mattson, to represent US in international tournament in Germany. Full story: http://t.co/jQTLjdgzPt — Bloomington Thunder (@BLMThunder) July 17, 2014
  16. Lots of different camps going on so they have some practices at the wellness center. Also the women after practice come to the wellness to shoot around.
  17. I have only seen the new players there once but wasn't able to watch much of what they were doing. Crandell looks taller than you'd expect and really long. Cashman looks like a big dude who can bang down low. That was the two biggest impressions I got.
  18. I can tell you not only he but all of the team are shooting almost daily at the wellness center. Women's team is putting in a lot of time too.
  19. Probably some kids here that UND has interest (or should have interest in) here. http://www.sbncollegehockey.com/college-hockey-recruiting-ncaa/2014/7/15/5896219/usa-hockey-select-16-festival-player-rankings-top-98s
  20. UND commits at USA U16 Festival. 44. Mitchell Mattson (#8 Royal) 6-3/185 Grand Rapids High School(North Dakota) - Big forward who used his strength to win one-on-one battles for the puck. He was good on face-offs here and could become more of a threat as he realizes he can use his body more to have an impact on the scoresheet. 1. Matthew Kiersted (#4 Grey) 5-11/165 Elk River High School (North Dakota) - He stood out immediately, but I liked his game more and more as the week went along. He has good poise, vision and always has his head up. He was physical when he needed to be and pushed opposing forwards wide in his own zone. http://www.sbncollegehockey.com/college-hockey-recruiting-ncaa/2014/7/15/5896219/usa-hockey-select-16-festival-player-rankings-top-98s
  21. From what I am finding Taj is taking summer classes for what it's worth... Don't know if that is changing for Fall but he is/has taken a summer class
  22. Looks like Charly Dahlquist from Eden Praire committed to UND. She is a 2015 recruit 30 GP 13G 28A 41P. https://twitter.com/charlydahlquist http://www.hudl.com/...harly-dahlquist
  23. Yea that also tells me he is still growing because his maxprep with his high school team says 6'6" but an interview with a local paper was talking to him about being 6'9". Would like to see him develop a little more muscle because he looks like he can really get up.
  24. Haven't seen this one here but it looks like UND offered Obediah Church a Forward from Springfield, IL. Have seen him listed anywhere from 6-6 to 6-9 which tells me his has room to grow out and get bigger . More of a combo small forward/power forward type player. 16 PPG while shooting at low 60 percent. http://www.highschoolcubenews.com/roster_players/4117831 http://verbalcommits.com/players/obediah-church 2015 Springfield (IL) F Obediah Church has received an offer from North Dakota. 25. According to twitter Kanani Asuncion verbally committed to UND for 2015. 1000 point getter playing varsity basketball since her 8th grade year. 15 PPG, 8 Boards, and 4 assists. http://www.kaaltv.co.../s3267500.shtml Verbal: Rochester Century/MN Fury's Kanani Asuncion G 2015 verbals North Dakota. — Gary Knox (@gPrep) June 22, 2014
