  2. I'm not in the airline industry, so can someone explain that to me? They are going to serve Devils Lake with the same size airplane as they did Grand Forks. If they were losing money in GF, why didn't they try cutting back to one flight per day or only coming every other day of the week or something like that? I flew on United out of GFK about 3 weeks ago. Leaving GF every seat on the 50 passenger plane was full. On the return flight there were 14 people.

Is there any chance of another west bound connection coming to GFK now, like Frontier maybe? Or is it just a dead duck?

Because flying to Devils Lake and Jamestown will get them a bunch of tax dollars in subsidizes so that it would be a hard to lose money. Serving a city with only one arrival and departure does not work. People want options of flight times. For a town of Devils Lake's size it would work though. Does anyone remember how much GF gave United to provide service? Vegas_Sioux was right on the mark for why people fly Delta. As for the flying east to go west thing that is very common all over the country. Flying to Denver to go west vs. flying to Minneapolis to go west time wise really makes no difference. As for Frontier they would want money and provide a limited service, think Allegiant on steroids. Frontier really nickles and dimes people to death. When people book tickets on Frontier through a third party website they overlook bag fees. What happens is that people that book tickets through these sites do not get a free carry-on. They find out at the gate that the carry-on is now going to cost them a $100 dollars. If checked in at the ticket counter when the checked in it is like $20. They are a sleazy operation. Frontier has not been the same since Republic took them over and the CEO use to run Spirit another sleazy airline.
  3. Isn't Macy's a high-end store and the old Dayton's?

Yes and no. Dayton's bought Marshall Fields and changed the name to Marshall Fields for their Dayton and Hudson's stores. Then Target, parent company of DaytonHudsons, sold the department stroe division to Macy's. Macy's then took over most of the DaytonHudson stores as Macy's. Hence why what we always called Dayton's are now Macy's. I always liked Dayton's better than Macy's.
  4. Macy's might not carry the real high-end suits, but they are definitely serviceable.

As a man who wears suits everyday, my rule of thumb is 4 or 5 less expensive suits for everyday wear and 2 real high end suits for big presentations, board meetings, and deal closings.

I also don't wear a Rolex- just a basic Tag.

Makes me think of Baldwin: See this watch? It cost more than your car. Why am I down here? Because you drove a Hyundai to get here and I drove an $85,000 BMW. What's my name? F you. That's my name.

    Perfect analogy.
  5. I'm sorry I didn't realize that status today had everything to do with low budget, high budget, mid budget? I guess I don't judge things on how much money they have in their wallet or if they are wearing a rolex.

Rolex is a watch for people that have more money than brains. Rolex are actually a junk timepiece.
  6. I'll go on record and say that I actually really like the song "Get on Your Feet" from Midco. When I hear it. I'm ready for UND Hockey. I've even called Midco and told them great job on the song and that I think they should lead off every broadcast with it. I think of it as an anthem, when I hear it- I know it's time for North Dakota hockey.

I'd like Pat back- honestly nothing against Hammer. Contrary to many on here, I think he does well enough. But I'd gotten used to Pat for so many years and always felt he was "our" guy.

Did the Macarena do it for you also?

  7. Get back to me when there is a crime called "resisting false arrest".

And from what I have heard it was the other guy who wanted to take it outside because he was feeling pretty tough with his 2 buddies with him to back him up.

False arrest the first time he was charged with resisting arrest? The bar fight was the second time.
