  1. None other than some road games on america one, some of which were poor quality, but streamed well. Neulion streams, I think, would be none. Had no idea all these other schools streams on neulion have always streamed poorly. The camera quality is understandable, the streaming, is not. Sioux home games I watched FTA, quality was not as good as prior to midco, but better than what was delivered on directtv fcs.

A lot of them did not even stream well. We agree on one thing. I never thought directtv fcs was a very good picture. This years web stream I think provides as good if not a better picture than fcs last year. The outdoor game in Omaha last year streamed terrible.
  2. smokey, i think it's you that doesn't understand bandwidth and streams. The quality of the video (which was not that bad for SD) had nothing to do with the inability to stream. Those poor quality streams with SD cameras, failed white balance, and so on, still streamed perfectly, the quality was just poor. This one didn't stream at all, and those that normally can watch midcosn on cable for home games, paid to watch this road game, and will no doubt get a refund if they ask for it.

While the quality was not new, the inability to stream was new (verstehen sie?).

No it is not. The schools I listed watching the games shown last year had the same problem all the time. How many streams did you watch last season?
  3. You don't understand there, Smokey. Yes, the UND webcast cameras (HD) are much better this year, and those older SD cams still in use in places like WMU are not as good. But WMU did not have the bandwidth pipeline to deliver this to so many UNDInsiders logging on (or neulion didn't make the bandwidth available), thus, the product simply didn't stream. I don't know if the streaming problem was WMU's, Neulions, or both. The streaming problem had absolutely nothing to do with the cameras (other than SD cameras should stream better, given the lesser amounts of data being pushed through the pipeline)

You don't seem to understand that this was nothing new. The other schools I listed were the same way. You are acting like this was somehow different than the past. When it is just like the past. The cameras are not going to give a good signal/picture to start with. Then everything else just goes down hill from there.
  4. We all understand that, the problems last night were not the camera, it was the skipping/buffering/permanent freezeups that WMU/Neulion delivered. Simply awful

That is what happened with a lot of webcasts last year. CC, ND, MTU, UNO, et. al. were like that all the time. It is not like this was anything new. Webcasts from UND are good.

  5. We knew the webcast was going to be really bad tonight and did not even bother with it. The frustration that comes with a bad webcast overrides the desire to watch. I doubt WMU has much for cameras, unlike UND. They are only using them for a webcast. Whereas UND uses the cameras for a TV broadcast. Remember how bad the MTU webcasts are? Same thing you are getting with WMU. I doubt this one is all on NeuLion as much as they are just receiving a crappy feed. If UND does not give a refund contest it with your credit card company.

  6. Do they have all those companies in az? And are they all accessible from poolside? And what does watch know about a Canadian company down there anyway?

I wish I lived in AZ right now. I have been in Canada over 100 times. Hence, why I know Canada, at least the Peg.
  7. Turns out there is something worse than the online grammar police: the online kitchen patrol. So you know the difference between baking and frying -- hell, you probably know the difference between an oven, a stove, and a range, too -- and you somehow think it necessary to flex your domestic superiority here, of all places...

    Anger management?
  8. Baked. Fried. Jesus Christ, who cares? This is a sports board. Go change your tampon (or is it a maxipad, minipad, menstrual cup, or liner), and get me a beer (or is it a lager, stout, ale, or porter). You are insane (or is it crazy, loony, retarded, dumb, or annoying). And on your way home from Bed, Bath and Beyond (or is it Linens n' Things, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Kohl's, or TJ Maxx) please swing by the drive-thru and get me some French bakes.

Those noises are really driving you insane. Do you always act so irrational when you make an error and are corrected? If it is a sports board why are we talking about Tim Horton's to start with?
  9. Had KK over the Thanksgiving holiday. Drove an extra 10 miles to get 'em hot and fresh (they're packaged and sold at gas stations and grocery stores all over town)…no substitute.

Sad to hear that Tim Horton is not baking everything locally. Were any of their donuts fresh? Do the Canadian locations bake in-store?

Doughnuts are not baked. They are fried.
  10. My biggest problem is the way that some are throwing Faison under the bus for the first DUI. I run a business myself. I am a farmer and I have several employees. If one of them is otherwise a valuable asset to my business, but goes out on their own time and gets a DUI, I am not going to fire them for it. If they get a DUI while driving one of my trucks or otherwise while on the job for me they would get the axe right quick. Basically that is what has taken place at UND this week. I just don't agree that Hardee should have been made an example of for his DUI two summers ago, as long as it didn't involve a University vehicle, employee, or athlete. From the few in person dealings with Faison that I have had, my guess is this week would have unfolded the exact same way even if Hardee had no prior issues whatsoever.

Does a DUI screw up a CDL? Or don't your guys need one? Even off work their DUI would mess up your insurance wouldn't it?
  11. Johnny has at least two accounts here to monitor. Plus his multiple bisonville accounts. And his gig helping Sammy run bisonNation.biz.info.gov.com or whatever the hell it is. And classes. And maybe a work study job in the sheep barn. We better cut him a little slack.

JJJJJJJJJJJAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNYYYYYYYYYYYYYY the sheep call out when he walks in the barn.
  12. Харакава женат бедных слоев населения

That's how you say 'piss poor' in Russian. 'Piss poor' would also define Commodore's whining about his treatment by Babcock.

Probably the lamest excuse ever given by a player for not getting played. Then he wonders why no one else wanted him?
  13. :)

Actually, that's right behind the seats in the actual Lounge, thats the place where people enjoy each other's company an occasionally watch the game on the TV's.

These seats are right in front, nice sightlines.

Plus I can invite my unwashed friends to join me!

    BTW, tickets are SOLD.

    Thanks and Go Sioux!

Thanks for getting the joke and not taking offense.
  14. Went there this morning since I've been craving a doughnut for a while and had heard they are better than Krispy Kreme. They are not. They are also apparently not made fresh. What a joke. The hot chocolate and coffee is excellent though. I just don't buy the hype of their baked goods.

That sucks. The ones in Winnipeg are real good. Best glazed doughnut I have ever tasted was from the Big M Bakery in Morris, Manitoba. Their butter tarts also were the best.
