  1. Fans are going to start yelling sieve at our own goalie. He needs to sit down for a couple of games.
  2. Have to wonder what the locker room is like with no other goalie playing.
  3. Totally bewildered why Tomek has not gotten any time. For a high draft pick not to get any time, if he is that bad in practice, have to wonder about our development program.
  4. Is Tomek ever going to play? Must be bad in practice for such a highly touted recruit.
  5. This topic should be changed to the official troll page.
  6. Jason Blake had a pretty good career.
  7. According to the College Hockey Inc. website, Mattson is scheduled to come in this fall but they have 14 players coming in. As of right now with early departures and seniors leaving there are 5 forwards leaving and 3 defensemen. The consensus seems to be that Jost, Hoff, and Yon will be 3 of the possible 5 forwards coming in. On defense it looks like Poolman, Evers and Casey Johnson would be the replacements. If the roster keeps the same amount of forwards amd D as last year, as of now, 2 forward positions are open for players such as Nick Jones, D. Bowen, M. Mattson, C. Cakebread, and Cole Smith. Any thoughts on best possibilities for those 2 openings? If Nick chooses to leave, that would mean 3 openings.
  8. Agree on Olson. If he can step up his game he has the physicallity to his game to continue the heavy line emphasis. Wilkie started out well then got injured. I look for a big improvement to his game next year.
  9. Thanks to both Paul and LJ for providing Sioux fans alot of fantastic memories and the best of luck to the both of them. That being said, I would not categorize next year as being a rebuilding year. The freshmen that came in this year show alot of promise and I am confident a serious step up in their game. At the end of the year, players like Gersich and Gardner were playing extremely well for Freshmen. I also liked what I saw at times from Wilkie and JJ. You could also see the development of Wolanin and Shaw and I expect both of them to step up their game next season. With the quality once again of the incoming class, the Sioux are reloading, not rebuilding.
  10. He could of very well got an offer. That being said, these guys should look how players have been developing under the program. Players like Cags and Stecher come undrafted and are hotly pursued after playing here. Jason Blake comes to mind as another who had a pretty good NHL career after playing 4 years for the Sioux and was also undrafted.
  11. If you would have gone with 4 or 5, I might buy it. 5 or 6 out of 7, no way. The Gophers had alot of talent but there is no way they were that much better than the Sioux.
  12. A big factor in the Michigan game was Brock Nelson getting checked from behind and knocked out for almost the entire game. Screwed up our lines never mind losing a player of his caliber. In regards to "the greenest tinted glasses" the Sioux outshot the Gophers 37-28 in that game. It is not like we were dominated in that game and it could have gone either way. In regards to BU, Eichel was the difference maker.
  13. I get that, but the conversation that I had with them was that they would cheer for anybody besides QU. For a team that only has come on lately they sure have alot of Easterners that don't like them. Never heard that kind of talk when Union played the Gophers in Philadelphia. From what I could decipher, the majority of the BC crowd was cheering for Union. And everybody I spoke with at the tourney were going for Union.
  14. Talking with some BU and BC fans, they all dislike QU for their style of play and attitude. Not knowing much about QU, I was surprised that fans of both teams were cheering for the Sioux over QU.
  15. I think Chadwick was a winger. He was a very physical player. Loved watching him play.
  16. It is their lifelong dream. Just hoping that they don't get premature with their decision and then get lost in the mix. Different strokes for different players.
  17. As far as staying in College, that may tend to be true for most people, yet alone hockey players. I know I wish that I could have stayed in College and I didn't play hockey. Caggiula says that he wishes he could stay.
