  1. I notice when looking at commitments by team, Jost is not in the grouping of UND players. When pulling up individuals names however, the website has him committed to UND.
  2. Probably the reason his PT was so limited his first 3 years. When St. Clair returns (hopefully soon), I would suspect Sanderson watches most if not all of the games. JJ should be playing as his upside is much higher than Sanderson's.
  3. Figuring he will play on Sunday, but you are correct. The Johnson line needs to start cashing in some goals.
  4. Agree totally with your comments. Hrynkiw has done a nice job while filling in but based on his high draft position Tomek needs to play when healthy. I also agree with comments on Gersich. As a freshman he has done alright. Sanderson is another feel good story but as a senior, I would sooner see Gersich develop and believe he has a much higher top-end. St. Clair plays the role of relentless and definitely upgrades the PK.
  5. Worst performance in a long long time. Effort good for 1st 10 minutes in 3rd period however Wisconsin by that time had enough confidence that they could beat them. This one will be remembered for the entire season.
  6. Since Berry has announced the incoming freshmen class, curious if anybody knows the status of Gabe Bast, Yon, Cakebread and Voltin. Are any of these held back for 16-17 or just no longer in UND's plans?
  7. With UND having 4 players drafted this year, how many NHL draft picks are the Sioux expected to have on the roster for the upcoming season?
  8. So if I understand correctly, if Thompson chooses to leave (heaven forbid), Evers, at the present time, would be the next option over Bast?
  9. Who are the best possiblities to be brought in this fall for incoming defensemen? Panzarella, Mattson and Schmaltz are gone with Thompson undecided. I have seen Wolanin, Evers, Chartrand and Shaw mentioned but nothing on Gabe Bast. Does anybody know if they are pushing him back another year? I am hoping with Schmaltz leaving, Thompson sees this as an opportunity to improve his stock for the NHL by coming back.
  10. I would not be shocked if he decided to go the NCAA route. More than likely a one and done but look at Eichel. He is actually talking about (I don't believe it) that he may come back for another year. Not sure what Matthews is looking for, but he will have the opportunity to play against stronger and older players for the most part going the NCAA route.
  11. Definitely need that unselfish kind of player that is similar in the past with Mario, Pattyn, and Gaarder. I think St. Clair falls into that category but he will be a senior next year.
  12. Would also not be surprising to see Sanderson leave as he has barely gotten a sniff of the ice in his 3 years here.
  13. Either that or somebody else they expected to come in has changed his mind.
  14. I think you are dead on for this. Ladue and Stecher have some serious upside and if they can not get a one-way contract they can make up the difference. They maybe should talk to Laleggia about this as he stuck around for his 4 years. Ladue and Stecher would have big roles on the powerplay this coming year and if the snipers coming in like Boeser, Wilkie, Gersich, etc., I am predicting the powerplay will be much improved over this past year and Stecher and Ladue's production and market value will improve likewise. Too many good reports on them for them to settle for an AHL contract.
  15. I don't see this being an issue with Stecher. The chances of him putting far superior numbers next are significantly higher. With people like Boeser, Wilkie, Gersich and improvement from others, I would bet our powerplay will be much improved and I am sure Stecher could be a huge part of that. With continued development Stecher should easily raise his 3 goals and 10 assists from this year and possibly substantially, plus continue improving defensively.
  16. Austin Matthews is the lead one available. Reportedly he is deciding between the WHL, BC, BU, Mich, Wisconsin, Denver and UND. Early projections he will be the #1 pick in next years NHL draft. He is from Scottsdale, AZ.
  17. Big Sioux crowd at RT O'Sullivans in Mesa at 60 & Stapley.
  18. This should hopefully reduce the BU crowd at the game. Not sure who the rest of them will be rooting for but doubt it will be like last year when everybody who was not a Gopher Alum, was rooting for Union.
  19. I would put ODonnell into that same category of not being afraid to shoot.
  20. So based on this analogy, a guy like Kristo comes to mind, never afraid to shoot. I think L. Johnson would fall into that same category.
  21. We are in Loge 13 Row 5, so look forward to seeing you there!
  22. RT O'Sullivans at Stapley and US 60 in Mesa has get togethers for every Sioux game. We would normally be there but are headed to Boston.
