Ditto. Stand finally hit a few buckets in 2nd half on Sat afternoon but the Thur game and 1st half Sat she couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Unless she can consistently drain some treys I just don't see a role for her as she's not fast, nor athletic, doesn't rebound, can't really create her own shots, etc.

I'm an avid Fighting Sioux name supporter but there was no way the firm/designer could hit a "grand slam" no matter what was spent, at least not on this board/in this arena. They were in a no win situation, at least in this crowd.

Good point. Yah, it's a Catch-22 indeed. I don't care who's coach, UND doesn't rebuild it reloads and there's still plenty of talent on hand. Will we be dominant like last season (6 losses?), likely not, but we'll be in the running and that's all you can ask for.

Agree! We had to leave Fergies at about 12:30 a.m. (missed the Sioux players) and drive to Orlando as had 7:00 a.m. flight out Sun morn. That was the only damper, wish had of left Sun afternoon/Mon morning.

Yah, although UND went 16 years w/o winning a nattie the Ralph was a big part in ensuring good/top rated teams essentially every season (what a run!). What a benefit to have, just as Ralph wanted in order to help in recruiting.

It boggles the mind with his size (6ft 5in, 235 lbs). He couldn't pull the ball if you threatened him. Are you serious, 3 extra base hits in the month of May up to 25 May (he did recently go on a hr "tear" to get that total up to 7 or so)? Wow. He has absolutely no upper cut in his swing and yet strikes out a good bit for a guy hitting in the .280s (yah, hitting has improved a bit from last season at least) with little power.

Man, I agree. Yah, S Washington ain't 32nd Ave S but it's still a highly traveled location right near 17th Ave S intersection with easy on/easy off access. Would be a gold mine I think with right fill.

Nah, the rivalry is still there. It heats up just a hair too being we just won a natty. Throw in the USA - Canada rivalry bit too although over-emphasized lately as the Sioux are like 1/3 Canadian, 1/3 Minn/GF metro area and 1/3 rest of US, no? We have a nice mix. Also, lil school/big school match-up adds to it a bit. I'm no Goofer apologist but they might not be the worst MN team, (Bem St probably but no doubt play UND tough), Goofs could be right up there with Duluth/St Clown/Mavs as top MN team next season--close battle. Min should start off a top 10-15 team this coming season, no?

Don't know. Touching on your subject, there might be a coach that needs replacing after next season if things drop off too much (I don't expect them to get any better/move up any in the standings).

Not to get a big head but I'm guessing 75% of these good stats are due to UND being in the conference. I gotta believe that.

No doubt, our hated rival DU and fellow NCHC member, gave us the toughest test in the NCAA tourney. I do not like DU (nor green eggs and ham) and their fans (what few there are) chatter about ND on blogs, but they ended up the second best team in the country (hard to be believe after their performance at the Ralph in Dec).

You're right, the game at DU Fri was the one we should of had to gain the split. DU playing well and we struggle a bit there so figured going into Sat almost right off the bat (since Fri was really our "win") we were looking at a sweep.
