If it plays out as a Denver vs St Cloud semifinal, I would definitely stay to see (or come early). Two of the best hockey clubs I've seen in a long while. Just not as good as UND.
I'm a long-time and huge Fighting Sioux fan but Denver ain't been half bad since the turn of the New Year. Whether we play Denver, St Clown or even UMD (assuming they all make it) it will not be easy my man. I'm assuming "on paper" UMD will be the most motivated in light of fighting to make the NCAA tourney (where are they at in the PW?).

Yup. Believe they were like 1-15 or something like that in the BSC 2 or 3 seasons ago and we lost to 'em I think with a half decent team. Another fine coaching job by Jones that season.

In high school sports in Wis it would be disallowed, seriously. There's basically no "negative" cheering allowed now in high school sports there. So, no "air ball", "miss" (when an opposing player is attempting a free throw),...

WTH. I can see putting a trophy in the Fargo Scheels store but that's about it. Would of thought marketing for Scheels would of been a little brighter but sometimes arrogance clouds good judgment.

Agree. I realize title 9 plays a big part so perhaps cut men's tennis and cross-country and also women's tennis to save bucks. Those are life-long adult sports/recreation that are single/duo with playing/training opportunities well into later years of life (e.g. unlike football, baseball, hockey,...).

I have watched BB for many years - I don't believe I have ever seen so many shots that were "in and out" as MSU had today.
Agree on the in/out shots for MSU but at least 3 or 4 of our ft's in the last minute or two of the game were same too.....very "close misses".

Still think Chelsea Dagger should be the touchdown song - make it more of a UND thing than hockey only. Everybody loves pumping their arms at the hockey games, and hockey fans should be the target market for the football marketing people.
Excellent idea for the Chelsea Dagger song. And do like Chicago BH's do too I believe and at end of Sioux hockey and other UND sports, play that song at the end of the game whenever they win.

Why should UND be content with how poor the league is at going on the road and winning? Are you okay finishing 3rd every season? I'm not. That won't ever result in an NCAA tournament appearance. Yes, Montana and Weber State are the outliers in that they consistently win on the road, but they also consistently win the conference. No coincidence there.
Would UND men's hockey be okay finishing 3rd in the NCHC every season? Give them a pat on the back and say, "good work, you met expectations and finished 3rd"?
Would we be okay with Bubba saying, "our goal is to move UND to the 3rd best position in the Big Sky Conference." Hell no.
Lets wake up and try to be competitive. The Big Sky Conference is ran by a couple bullies in Montana and Montana State and UND needs to wake up and punch them in the mouth. Stop being so damn conservative and go for the win.
UND football got into position by hiring Bubba (thank God), now it's UND MBB's turn.
You forgot the third bully, Weber State.

I'm confident this team can do well on a neutral floor as they've been road warriors these past 6 - 8 weeks. Their top 3 freshmen are really helping the team out (tonight Morton with 10, the Edmore girl hit 2 quick treys and Klabo chipped in a few points too) and it seems like they get scoring from all sources as needed lately. Playing 9 players deep/regularly, nice balanced scoring tonight and had a huge 49-28 rebounding edge I believe. That kind of rebounding margin certainly helps off-sets the damage done by their propensity for high number of turnovers. Missed free throws can be a bug-a-boo at times (not a very good percentage tonight) but luckily tonight's game not a very tight one. Not to get ahead but they might be partaking in the big dance in few weeks, probably as good a shot as 2 or 3 other leading teams in the Big Sky.
