Agree, how can it not be?
-
I agree. You look at the team and think we're so young so will only get better but that doesn't appear to be the case when we could lose our 2 of our top 3 goal scorers, top defenseman, and starting goalie (although Cam may have hurt himself staying here this season).
-
Agree to some degree but those are your words, not mine. D1 hoops at low/mid major level is a different beast than D1 hockey. Winning conf reg season is fine indeed and, as I stated "I tip my cap big-time" but winning conf post season tourney gets you to the big dance and my guess is most hoopsters would want that first vice winning conf reg season title but not the post season tourney (result not makin the big dance). If that's what you're doing, don't make this UND hoops vs UND hockey as I'm just as big a fan of both.
-
Yah, Hak's teams ALWAYS improved, haven't seen that this season though (actually, reversed).
-
Sorry MM, only in football.
-
Are you serious? I knew it wasn't good but 0 goals in 30 games? That ain't "snake bit", that's inexcusable.
-
Well, why can't our A+ goalie from last season be a "hot" goalie too?!
-
Didn't see the goals tonight but Cam's gotta have a better save percentage or were all 3 goals point blank right in front? If so, my bad.
-
Not to be Debbie Downer but thetrouble is in hoops, not that I'm not tipping my cap big-time to UND if they do win the BSC regular season title (men and/or women), is that this conf is one-entry only into NCAA tourney. Winning the regular season conf title is nice and helps you seeding-wise in the BSC tourney but, if you don't win that, then it's all for naught. Barring some kind of miracle, two teams from the BSC will not advance to the NCAA tourney.

It helps having two BSC 1st teamers in Q and Crandall. Plus, diff this year is this team (barring Brick) for most part makes free throws to win the close one's at games end. You have great/good scorers in Q and Geno and then add in Baldwin, Cortes, Avants and Bernstine (the Shankster occasionally) chipping in with some good scoring numbers in random games and you have nice production most nights. -

Damn, the fg shooting % really surprises me. I guess all the other things he doesn't do so well distorts our thinking on his shooting ability. Maybe it cus he's 7 ft tall and majority of his shots are from within 5 ft but he's still only making half of them despite a decided height advantage most games. -
Haks had his critics for failing to win a natty but at least his teams always, always improved as the season went on. Basically the opposite this season though.

Tim's a great play by play guy but I've noticed lately his voice sounds like he's aged 25 years. I keep wanting him to cough or clear his throat, I guess we all get older.

You sure it's not the Loch Ness Monster?

Spot on analysis.

UND was in the Frozen 4 at Xcel in 2011, one of their best teams ever but suffered hard to swallow semi-final loss vs Mich (Duluth won it all).

Hmm, the LIL6 has a conf tv contract, Minn by far the biggest name and viewers. No doubt the refs were impartial/unbiased and not pressured by the tv powers to be sure to help out in the Goofers cause. My God, the wolves guarding the hen house.

Only the Shankster could do that...Had a nice game though by his standards. -

Based on the # fans for last Sat game, I would have to say darn near 2,500 I would think. -

Geno always has 1 or 2 silly fouls each game, usually reaching in. Needs to fix that problem as with Hooker gone next season we can ill afford to have Geno having to sit out extended periods. -
Agree 100% with you. Goofs, no matter the season, have nice PPs.
-
Uh, it's not just you.

Obviously too late now but they should have done $1 dollar night (they do it for lady hockey vs Min) and had free pizza for students (that's what it takes now for them to attend hoops) for Sat game vs Idaho and played it at the Ralph. Even if they only got 5K fans (arena near half full) to attend that's better than 2,500 at the Betty.
