We have many young in experienced players. Each game they play is a big learning experience. If we can win Saturday, this will really benefit the young players and give confidence going into Idaho State and Weber State.
This is just a rest period. When everything picks up again the west will be better situated to handle the increase of people and traffic. Most of the schools have still added students over last year. Many families are staying put at least for now. The single people are heading back to states where they came from.
I was impressed with Cox. He seemed to be down field quite often looking to lay another block. Also liked Grady's pancake. Looking forward to many more pancakes sealing the edge for Santiago and Smith.
Both teams have improved since last year. I think ours have improved the most. Our Oline will have to be good in both the run and pass. Our defense will have to be careful not to give up the big play. Trick plays off punts or multiple QB's in at one time.
http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/football/fcs/fcs-coaches-poll Portland St. is ranked 16th in FCS poll. received something like 286 points. North Dakota received 1 point. wow who was that genius. Time to step up and earn some respect. This is a big week and a test for the rest of the season. Go UND.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe Tucker. I haven't heard much about him and he missed some of fall camp. He in with high hopes of being a contributor.
This game is a very interesting match up with UND. Both rush the ball and very little passing. defense both stuff the run. however PSU has 7 interceptions in 3 games. they seem to be solid on special teams. this will be a tough road game. if we win we will be leading the big sky conference after two weeks. Who would have predicted PSU and UND leading the league after week 4. probably no one. This is turning out to be a very very interesting season in the Big Sky.
