Laugh at the prospect of Larson ever having a serious conversation with you bozos.
-
They just added almost $40 million to construct an IPC for football. For football, NDSU gets funds. For mbb and other sports, fund raising is form of torture.
-
Think that the former NCC school Presidents and Denver were acutely aware of the Summit’s vulnerability and that UND being added was just a first step. UND would have been extremely negligent in having dropped baseball if they didn’t know more football members were coming aboard and the Summit Presidents would have been vociferous in their message to each other in their opposition.
-
That’s the way I understand. Could be seven as seven members are another criteria.
-
Yes. They must be members of the Summit for the Summit to use the sport to satisfy the mbb autobid requirement. That’s only true for fb and mbb. The MVC already has baseball and men’s soccer, so that conference doesn’t need fb.
-
Liberty going FBS by a waiver shows that the NCAA knows if a school has the ability to move to FBS, even though another conference won’t take them, is very susceptible to a legal challenge. Instead of undoing the legal headaches and costs, the NCAA broke down and allowed a waiver. The same would hold if a conference of financially able schools wants to go FBS. UND already has an athletic budget greater than some Sum Belt FBS schools. The Horizon commish already stated that that conference is prepared to go to 14 schools. PUFW is probably first or second on that list.
-
The MVFC would need six permanent members for FCS and eight for FBS to work for the Summit.
-
Of course they wouldn’t say that as they don’t have a conference offering. Bresciani would take up an FBS offer in a minute. But because you believe so fervently that no FCS presidents want FBS, feel free to keep your believing falsehoods.
-
An enlarged stadium would not be necessary until 2023, which would be the 2nd year of FBS transition. The goal is to qualify for the pot of CFP money in 2025. Our previous Presidents didn’t have the balls to cut sports. Many of them were funded at D2 levels or worse. They feared the SJWs too much, and did not pursue excellence or even competence

Research intensive schools with football that are DI are FBS with very few exceptions like the Ivy League, which has money but doesn’t give any athletic scholarships because they got beat in most sports. Have said for some time that UND will get a Ralph-like donation for a new stadium. The Ralph had a dramatic impact on cash flow BTW. Coastal is excellent at many sports, but there has been rumors that DI will narrow its membership to those in FBS conference and maybe select others like the Big East. Don’t you think UND hockey will demand that it will UND go FBS?
-
It wasn’t before the Dakotas were in. Valpo had a few good years, and UNI and Mo St were in it for a while. The total lack of historical perspective by you is breathtakingly stupid.
-
Could try your stupidity drugs and lack of aspiration drugs, but no thanks.
-
Coastal Carolina got a championship in baseball, a new FBS expanded stadium with less attendance than we’ve had in FCS, and will be in the CFP. Coastal is a lot less caliber school than UND. WTF are you on?

The Summit.historically has been a crappy league. OK with the NCC schools, but the former GLVC teams and worse are not relatable and can’t grow because of no football. After when realized that the Montanas and Idaho will join and replace the Indiana, Illinois, and Oklahoma schools, that changed thing completely. NDSU at DI has always been out to screw us. It would have been neat to get ahead of them for once with FBS, then bozoville would have gone ballistic. The MVC schools are entirely stuck up because of B.B., which departed and a new schools are mostly responsible for.
-
Thats right. You and certain others here just refuse to belive that anything positive will ever happen. The new Summit would be a great conference for Air Force too if they move football to the AAC for football. AFA approached the MVC about that very subject but was turned down. The Summit could be a Patriot League in the West. AFA and Denver would make superb travel partners and AFA isn’t much of a threat in wbb or mbb.

NDSU has long wanted FBS, as it’s embarrassing to them that they have won so many consecutive FCS championships and haven’t got an FBS bite. There is no way they get that unless they cooperate with UND and certain Big Sky schools and start their own FBS conference. UND’s recent acceptance by the MVFC, which we were all told by the Fargo media and trolls in the past was impossible, shows how Gene Taylor and certain NDSU presidents always had an issue with UND football. That cannot be denied now, but it is and needs to be brought to the light. Journalists in Fargo refuse to talk about their dirty politics of the past. The leading schools in the Big Sky wanted us because we had resources to be FBS. They just needed to be firm with NDSU to quit playing their games, which Chapman tried when he was attempting to get in.

It’s so apparent that you don’t read my posts, but just react like a snowflake with constant screaming. idaho can’t fill an 12 game non-conference slate right now without huge expense. At least five of them must be home games and formerly the Sun Belt would fill four of them without charge. Idaho would have to spend a million or more to get teams to come there. Liberty and NMSU have two games scheduled against each other in the same year for that reason. Liberty has money and a bunch of Southeastern teams nearby and NMSU has better weather and a larger stadium to recoup some of the expense and has a lot of Texas FBS teams nearby. Most FBS schools wouldn’t give Idaho a two for one because Idaho plays in a chicken coop and is not an important recruiting area. Almost every school, except Liberty and Army and UMass needs a conference affiliation to fill some games. But even those will have a conference by 2025 if they want. As explained before, thought the Big Sky would split into two and the part that wanted FBS would proceed. But an easier angle is just to take over the Summit using football while maintaining the NCAA autobid and money flow. Without football, the Summit is a dead conference in three years as it hasn’t added DII teams years ago to avoid the loss of an autobid. The impending loss of PUFW, which will happen in spite of bisons saying they are real happy, would kill the Summit, as there are no replacement for men’s soccer and baseball in the region. With UND now in the Summit, there is likely a 75% that will vote for Idaho and the Montanas and Weber St, as I think ORU would vote yes as part of their deal to return to the Summit for free and then get into the WAC for free. As said earlier, the Big Sky Cali teams will go to the WAC along with Sam Houston St and Lamar and others. Both the WAC and Summit will fully cooperate with each other in the FBS transition to hold down costs. If they don’t have to pay big figures to existing FBS schools, the transition will not cost much more than FCS, The WAC needs eight full time FBS schools to qualify as an FBS conference. UTRGV likely needs to go FBS to get to 8. The FBS transitions for all will be for two years, and both need 8 full time FBS member in order to qualify for what will be a higher CFP in 2025. Two new FBS conferences: an FBS WAC and an FBS Summit both getting CFP payments by 2025.

Posted this to create panic among you and the trolls. Had tried a word that was not a sport after posting and it worked. Some older college sports sites have a data list of sports take come up a new page so you can deduce what’s coming. Presbyterian had wrestling well before they added it, and it came up with its own page that couldn’t be accessed any other way.. Guess the newer website programs are more sophisticated now.

Why when you change this address to your browser, it is still functional and not get an error: https://fightinghawks.com/index.aspx?path=wlacrosse Changing wlacrosse to wswimming also works. Maybe it’s all preprogrammed. Haven’t checked nonsense words/sports yet.

SDSU was absolutely thrashed by Carleton of Canada, 113-51 in a foreign trip exhibition. Carleton led at the half by 62-21, so Carleton was easy on the Jacks in the second half. Carleton has also beaten Ole Miss and Cincinati by teens, and they are the defending Canadian champions. SDSU needs to find another gear. The much vaunted ferociousness of the Jacks was an absolute dud up north. That could be valuable game film for Summit teams to have.
-
We don’t have the MVFC banners up either.
-
The Summit could very well sponsor women’s lax but allowing Denver to keep its Big East affiliation. Travel would probably include Cal schools anyway and recruits can be gotten their if they know they will get games near home in their career.
-
UTRGV’s timeline. Business logic as the CFP change upcoming. Changes and improvements needed for FBS. Our Big Sky and Summit Presidents would have to outrageously stupid to not be chomping at the bit to get a piece of the new CFP. Can’t technically prove anything in a court of law. But you cant prove we aren’t moving either..
-
UND will not see the MVFC. Why does UND stay in the Big Sky for two more years when only one is needed? To keep scheduling the Montanas and being in contact with Idaho and Weber St. 2018 The Montanas, Idaho and Weber St give the Big Sky notice that they are leaving for the Summit. UND moved early so the Summit has the 75% voting power needed to add them. 2020 Summit football will begin with those select Big Sky schools 2022 Summit football will move the the WAC for FBS transition 2024 Summit FBS football will be separate 2025 Summit gets CFP $, likely to go way up over $1 million per team A school doesn’t want to go too early to FBS as they wouldn’t get into an expanded CFP $’s until 2025 when the contract cones into effect. The Presidents aren’t going to FBS without CFP. That’s why the move up is delayed. The WAC missed out on it last time and the timing is critical this time around. They weren’t going to go FBS in 2016 and wait 9 years for a CFP payment. Having 3 new G5 conferences opens up the possibility of a new G8 playoff too.

My projections are that the Montanas, the South Dakota’s and NDSU will also start the sport. Women’s lacrosse is an ideal sport to add for women because it’s only 12scholships but like almost 40 new out of state tuitions. The MPSF needs teams, but they will come.
