This latest story is not one incident. It's a series of incidents that show an incredible amount of stupidity and lack of civic maturity over an extended amount of time. In most states, what they did would have been serious felonies. You simply don't get it. "Not smart enough, grown up enough or sophisticated enough" applies to not only players, but posters like you.
-
99.9% of Bisonvillers claim they are Bison, even if they never played. You miss the point: where are these "Bison" helping make these players accountable after being a "Bison". Life is redeemable, but "Bison" seemed to be routinely dumped to the curb after their usefulness is over.
-
Maybe through the court system I know more than you do.
-
When Oshie was hanging around the REA like last summer, then it would be appropriate. These kids are all in Fargo and hang around the BSA. Some of these kids committed fraud on the time sheets. Same old song and dance. They never learned anything. But now Bisonville turns on these kids because the kids are no longer useful to them. Before, Bisonville was defending these kids. As I said, once a Bison, always a loser. Bisonville poster comments prove that.
-
So you wanna bet that Bohl's staff wasn't parenting the current players on completing their community service? The staff were riding their asses to get it done on time. Bohl parents these kids until their done with eligibility, and then dumps them to the curb.
-
With that kind of illogic, any current bison player in the NFL shouldn't be commented on by the NDSU athletic department either. You simply can't pick and chose the "good", and ignore the stupid.
-
The judge said all of the players were too immature and not smart enough to even understand what they did. Bohl babysat the players that still had eligiblity to ensure they didn't sit out the next year in the slammer. Meanwhile, the players with no eligibility were tossed to the wind by NDSU athletics. Too immature and not smart enough to do what is best for their lives. Once a bison, always a loser.

What conference will the other Dakotas be in 2015?
SiouxVolley replied to SiouxVolley's topic in NCAA News
NJIT probably gets offers from both the NEC and America East. AEC is a better match, as it is mostly public schools like NJIT. Most of the rest of the moves probably are for fall of 2014, not immediately in July. Douple and all the Summit Presidents are like a comedy routine: all rock steady (but in their determination of getting the hell out). Maybe Denver, SDSU, and USD can form their own league. -

Sounds like all of the CAA, SoCon, ASun, America East, NEC, will be announcing moves in the next couple of weeks. The Summit could really be cooked if the ASun could grab IPFW and IUPUI. Don't see how the Summit could recover from that. -

Could imagine it (except Moorhead), but just don't see it happening. The Minn St system just doesn't want their schools spending nearly $1.5 mill / school each as an entry fee to DI. The Summit League would probably have to pay that for them. Half of that Northern Sun Conference should just drop football (SCSU, Bemidji, Moorhead, Crookston, Northern, Minot, Upper Iowa) or go non-scholarship. -

I think that if any Minnesota DII public school had an interest in DI, they would be having a public discussion in the media (much like all the Dakota schools did prior to announcing). None of St Cloud St, Mankato, or Duluth have been doing that. Moreover, they would have to get an OK from the Minnesota State system much like Moorhead St needed and didn't get for a DI hockey program. -
To bad college hockey conferences don't have room for both.

The deadline for a DII school to receive an offer from a DI conference and apply to transition to DI is June 1st. Effectively, unless the Summit can invite existing DI teams from other conferences (like Chicago St), it will need to show that it can add DII schools to have a long-term hope of survival. Will any regional DII teams take the bite? So far, there hasn't been any indication in the press that any DII schools are even considering it. Maybe some DII schools are interested, but they just don't want to take the risk with the Summit League. The only two new DII moveups so far are Grand Canyon and UMass-Lowell. -

On Bisonville, you are one of Lakes' *sskissers, memorializing his time on Bisonville. Why the two-facedness?

It's been over a week and not a peep out of Douple about this so-called plan that SDSU and some NDSU perps were insisting Douple had. Fourteen conference games for the other Dakota's in basketball: they will be absolutely hurting for scheduling. -

The bizons are really but hurt over this whole conference alignment thing. They viewed their two FCS pigskin championships as sure tickets to go practically anywhere they wanted (i.e. MVC). In their own minds, the bison mascot was now exceedingly attractive, any decent conference would want a date. Just raising up their green and piss yellow pinwheels would certainly attract attention. But, alas, found out both the MVC and Horizon really don't give a s**t about what the bizons have done on a pigskin field. Guess the pigskin barns had too many odors. Neither does the MAC, SunBelt, CUSA, or MWC have any kind of interest. All those "get lost" responses hurt Bison Dan's and his bisonville buds' feelings. It's like they were ticketed for being delusional. waah But the worst for them was seeing how UND hockey was so desired in comparison. Danny Boy remembers how hockey schools fought to be in a conference with UND and Denver, and how UND and Denver got national contracts for their new conference, and they thought for sure NDSU could do the same thing with FCS football. A conference always has to offer men 's basketball wifth at least seven. If it offers FCS football with at least six members, then it does not have to offer any other men's team sport. But if no football is offerred, two other men's team sports must be offered with six members. The sports can even be hockey, volleyball, water polo, lacrosse etc. The Summit chose baseball and men's soccer that it must offer with six members, otherwise it forfeits its men' basketball autobid after a grace period as well as the autobid in the men's sport short of members. The Big Sky always satisfies the requirement because of football. If the Summit can get two more football members, the baseball situation becomes irrelevant. -

Kolpack wouldn't get any stories if he told how bad things really are with the Summit League. -

Oral Roberts is the only school that left an affiliate: men's soccer, as the Southland doesn't offer it. The Summit also has Eastern Illinois' men's soccer, as the OVC doesn't have that. -

Kolpack indeed is wrong on several points: seven fully DI schools are needed for the Summit to maintain recognition as a multisport conference (the Summit is at seven right now as Omaha doesn't count for until the fall of 2015) and six teams are needed in two men's sports. The Summit is at four right now in baseball, not five as Kolpack states because Omaha doesn't count. If one more team leaves the Summit (other than Omaha) without a raid on another conference or unless the last independent, NJIT, joins, the Summit will be dead. -
If Fullerton really has interest in turning the Big Sky into an FBS league, those statements about NMSU staying at the FBS level and having interest in the BIg Sky are not mutually exclusive. If NMSU gets an all sports offer from the Sun Belt (which most Sun Belt schools wouldn't vote for because of distance), then the Big Sky option dies.
-
http://www.lcsun-new...opping-football Garrey Carruthers, New President of NMSU Current Position, Ph.D., vice president for economic development and dean, College of Business, New Mexico State University. Maybe that's why Fullerton is talking 16 teams and also talking FBS. With NMSU and Idaho, two of the 8 needed FBS teams would be present. Fullerton and other Big Sky Presidents probably already have talked with Bresciani. Doubt Fullerton would have brought up the subject in the Herald of expansion if there wasn't interest from schools. N Colorado could get NMSU as a partner, with UND and NDSU paired. Adding NMSU would make basketball much more difficult to win, with three basketball schools, NMSU, WSU, Montana in the conference.

Congrats and glad you're back next year. Really appreciated your input on this board. Grad school will be busier, but hope to see you on this board next year too!
