I didn't think he'd be much of a goal scorer.

But UND wouldn't be a B1G school there'd be an affiliate in hockey. When we were in the WCHA with other B1G schools did UND get any research money? If UND Is trying to get more research money then put people in place to get that money, if they want to on par with B1G schools then make it as hard to go to UND as it is to go to other B1G schools.

I don't expect any research opportunities to come out of being in the B1G.

I expected him to be another Mario, 4th line role player.

The arena was a big deal breaker for ASU being in the NCHC and I don't think the NCHC wanted Mankato so easier to tell them both no then tell one no. If UND has so much pull like the guy says why isn't the Final Faceoff at the X.

Women's hockey isn't on TV, except the NCHC.tv will show games once and a while.

It would help kill women's hockey at UND if the B1G started women hockey (that's if UND doesn't join the B1G).

But the B1G doesn't do that now.

From what I've seen from the realignment the former CCHA schools haven't done all that well in their new conferences, the exception being Ferris State. Omaha needs money more then anyone one else, but they are losing Blais and the rumor is this is his final year. Omaha has an obsession with UND for some reason. The B1G even considering adding UND, Duluth, or Omaha, that says that no other school in the B1G is adding hockey. If the team you want doesn't agree to the terms do you think Duluth, Omaha or anyone else would agree to them? We'll see what happens when it happens, but the core of the NCHC looks to be together. Like I said UND will only go to the B1G if they are getting BTN money.

Unless UND gets BTN money, John Hopkins and Norte Dame don't, UND is staying in the NCHC. Why leave the best most competitive conference to play in the B1G with no BTN money to go with it.

The only way UND says yes is if they get some BTN money.

They do have an arena that seats 5,000 for hockey. Salt Lake City would be better at the Maverik Center (seats 10,000).

The one thing I hope comes from these "destination games" is that it will help expand college hockey along with getting players to see that the CHL isn't the only route to the NHL.

I mentioned that the NCHC should host a showcase with WCHA, Hockey East, or the B1G with 4 teams from each conference and everyone gets 2 games. The NCHC could have UND, Denver, Miami, and Duluth all play a games against two WCHA teams they wouldn't play that year. The game could be in Edmonton at the Rogers Center, it would give the Canadian players a chance to play in Canada. The NCHC could rotate where it's held at and which conference they invite. This is a way the NCHC could expand the brand like they are with the College Hockey Showdown this year. The NCHC needs to look at getting ESPN/ESPNU to broadcast games. On a side note I'd like the NCHC at some point have in-net goal cam's. They are trying to have things the NHL has, so in-net goal cam's should be on the list.

I don't see the Coyotes getting sold, one of the owners or the CEO is from Quebec.

UND or anyone outside Hockey East and the ECHC most likely won't be invited.
