  1. I don't see them going to the B1G, The B1G would have to take Denver just to make the conference even and that's not happening. Utah is in the same boat as Arizona State is for hockey, the Pac-12 and member institutions are going to wait and see what Utah's profits are before anyone else adds the sport to varsity. So if UND added lacrosse it would need to have $15 to $30 million endowment (just for a men's team). The costs are going to be $2 million a year and no guarantee that UND will make that money back (Denver made $1 in profit two years ago). If UND ever adds lacrosse they would need a group of schools in the area to add lacrosse to cut travel costs and the operating costs of $2 million. I have no problem with UND adding lacrosse, the chances it happens in the next 5 years is low, but the moment UND says they will add it the twins and their women's hockey group will come out and demand the school bring back the women's hockey program. Now if the rumors are true its time to see if Utah adds hockey next.
  2. He's taking it to Minnesotaaa!!!!! That's what he said he's going to do on the video that make puck retweeted. I'm sure Omaha has been making plans to retire Guentzel's and Archibald's jerseys to start the year. They have to be like UND.
  3. Smh What's next Adidas branded equipment. #makehockeygreatagain
  4. That's why I think 1. They should have made it that each team can only protect 5 or 6 players total. 2. The protected list should have been made before the playoffs.

  6. James Mirtleā€Verified account @mirtle 1h1 hour ago This kind of dealing is what's really going to hurt Vegas; teams are going to get assets for players while they can and leave VGK scraps. James Mirtleā€Verified account @mirtle 1h1 hour ago Every team I've talked to the last few weeks is working on some variation of: "How do we give Vegas almost nothing?" Tampa pulls that off.
  7. Better question will they be branded CCM. Adidas has been making the jerseys under Reebok. I guess this could have been put in the new season thread lol.
  8. Drouin will have to be protected by the Canadians of lost to Vegas. The expansion Draft would be more fun if the teams had to have their protected list in right before the playoffs. I think to many players are getting protected thanks to the exempt players.
  9. Jonathan Drouin traded to the Canadians.
  10. Phil Housley the new head coach for the Sabers.
  11. Guentzel isn't bring the Cup to Omaha.
  12. Only way Vegas take them is to flip the player to a team that wants them.
  13. If I was the Sharks I wouldn't protect Thornton or Marleau, both are at the ends of their careers and Vegas isn't picking either one.
  14. I was waiting for reaction to these jerseys, I'm not a fan. USA Hockey need to stop ruining hockey. #makehockeygreatagain
  15. I expect the Golden Knights to sign Dan GIrardi who was bought out by the Rangers.
  16. I want to see the protected list of each team. Each team should have had to release their protected list before the playoffs.
  17. The jerseys for the outdoor game are Bills-esque. http://buffalonews.com/2017/06/14/usa-hockey-unveils-special-jersey-world-juniors-outdoor-game-buffalo/
  18. Ducks make a deal with the Golden Knights? http://www.sbnation.com/nhl/2017/6/14/15800982/ducks-golden-knights-trade-bieksa-manson-defensemen-nhl-expansion-draft-rumors
  19. The Blue Jackets SB Nation page made it sound like the contract doesn't count against the cap. Coyotes SB Nation page said that Craig Cunningham and David Bolland can't be drafted in the expansion draft, because of career ending injuries.

  21. Possible destinations for Fleury. http://www.broadstreethockey.com/2017/6/13/15788856/nhl-trade-rumors-marc-andre-fleury-flyers-penguins-golden-knights http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/five-intriguing-destinations-marc-andre-fleury/
  22. From what I understand is that contracts can be insured, and Clarkson's contract is insured.
  23. Yeah, and the league should say that an expansion team can't take on a bad contract right away.
  24. I get it's the Flyers problem on the Pronger contract. Are the Flyers to blame that Pronger ended up with a eye injury that ended his career? Now lets say Crosby gets another big contract and has a concussion that ends his career. I don't like the Penguins, but should they get stuck with his contract if Crosby's career is over because of a concussion that has yet to happen?
  25. And a prospect too. To me if a player can get off LTIR and is basically retired the the league should take over these types of contracts. Prongers contract killed the Flyers. Coyotes with Pronger's and Datsyuk's contracts is a joke. That my opinion on it. Columbus gets rid of a bad contract and gets a pick in the expansion draft (or that's how I think it works).
