Midco and UND Insider can't do a better job than this?
Yeah, this seems really puzzling. Had a hell of time finding highlights of the USD game as well.

I think they list it by overall record if they are tied in the conference record.
Ahh, ok. That sort of makes sense, but, ultimately, if the season ended today, I'm assuming SDSU would be the #1 seed in the tournament based on a head-to-head tie breaker? Seems like since this a CONFERENCE standings, you'd list them how they stack in the CONFERENCE.
-
I see UND is listed on top of the standings, even though their conference record is tied with SDSU, and SDSU won the head-to-head matchup. Does UND own some sort of tie-breaker against SDSU that I am not aware of? I was thinking it could just be alphabetical, but among the teams at 5-4, that doesn't hold true.

Looking for highlights again and couldn’t find any.

Awesome, thanks! Based on the final score, I surprised that it was still a two possession game with 6 minutes to play. UND did a really nice job closing this one out.

Tied for first
The standings are stacked tight. A couple of losses, and you're in 8th place

Anywhere to get some highlights of the game? Searched on YouTube and they have highlights of every combination of gender and Dakota school available except UND/USD Men.

It's amazing how age and time cloud our memories.
Yes. I initially thought (and wrote, which I later deleted) Minnesota had to play Michigan in Yost to get the F4 in 2002, but that matchup was actually the F4 semifinal.

Minnesota 2003
In 2002, The Frozen Four was in St. Paul, but their regional was in Ann Arbor.
In 2003, Mariucci hosted a regional, but the Frozen Four was in Buffalo.

All I was saying (pointing out, really) is that UND has a great opportunity this year to play in front of their fans at all the important games with very limited travel, especially for a western team, which has been pointed out, and that could/should work to our advantage. No asterisks, just a tremendous opportunity. And I'm super excited to watch it.

Think 2016... elite defense, top line studs, but scoring through the last forward group.
Watched Friday's game live, then finally saw the whole Saturday game on the Midco replay Monday night, and this was my thought as well.

It's possible that the playoff road to the title goes through Grand Forks (NCHC quarterfinals), St. Paul (NCHC semifinals and championship), Sioux Falls (NCAA Regionals), and then back to St. Paul (NCAA Frozen Four). That has to be a geographical travel advantage to UND. Plus, at those venues, the crowds would skew heavily towards UND fans. Let's do this.

Put me the camp that suspects that, at age 63 (this fall), Bubba is likely to retire or transition to another job after this season.
Most thought that should have been done after last season. We'll see if that turns out to be a good/bad decision for the sake of the team/program.
The leash has to be extremely short. Minimum one playoff win to keep his job.

WTF Landry??

Does he call tomorrow night since he's in town?
In the past, when CBSSN has done a Friday home game, Alex has been the Midco announcer on Saturday.

Ok. While I can't actually see this happen, I at least can understand how it happened. Thanks.

UNI game this year?
Pretty much everything post-Bison. Has to be one of the biggest falls from grace of a UND coach of any sport at any time. He should have retired the week after Sac. St.

One nice thing about the QB race for 2024 is that Landry will not have any preconceived notions on who "should" start based on when or why they were recruited. I know that shouldn't have mattered even if Danny were the OC / QB coach, but I'm sure it is harder to remove yourself from rationale like who's been in the program longer, etc.

They were about to show the overhead replay and then the "professional" production crew cut to something else.
Similar to how they didn't have time to show the overhead replay on the shot that looked like it went in but didn't even review.Yeah, I was all ready to watch this, but then it never happened. Does anybody understand what happened that can provide a sentence or two write-up? I tried watching the live video while pausing to keep track of the puck, and I can't find it. All of a sudden, it's somehow in the net and we're celebrating. At first I thought it probably slid under the net from the back or side and it wouldn't even count, but with no challenge from SCSU, I presumed that's not what happened. Did it come in from the top, like behind the goalie's shoulder/back?? Just a weird weird sequence all around.

Anybody have a good angle replay of UND's third goal? I still have no idea how that went in.

Not an intent to derail a BB thread with football talk, but I wonder if UND Football had beaten the Bison just by the skin of its teeth (like the BB team did), maybe that would have left them a little more hungry. BB team absolutely clobbered a team that was only one game behind them in the standings. Would have been nice if the FB team had that kind post-NDSU response at UNI.
