  1. That’s what I remember too.
  2. Rudolph is his last name. Paul Rudolph This 360 article was dated 11/20/18, so he was let go right after the season ended.
  3. No, I didn't take it as reference specifically to Ike, only that Schmidt seems to acknowledge that his pieces are in place and need to work harder.
  4. https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/college/und-football-notebook-schmidt-says-hard-work-no-magic-formula-is-the-next-step "I think it's back to work," Schmidt said. "There's no magic formula that we're going to do differently." It seems obvious now that Schmidt is retaining Ike. That article also mention's Ike's honor.
  5. No in my opinion What is really too bad is that UND didn't seize an unprecedented opportunity to be the only college football team from North Dakota playing a game this weekend.

  7. I was thinking about this. It makes sense, but I also don’t like the fact that that particular outcome would make UND the last/only Dakota school without an FCS title. That doesn’t sit well with me.
  8. Maybe not “forced” but probably a reasonable decision for the sake of continuity and not hanging a guy (or guys) out to dry after 1 season. I don’t disagree if that was the strategy. I also don’t disagree to do something else if that strategy proved ineffective. Ultimately, Schmidt will now have to own whatever decision he makes in regards to Ike.
  9. Here: Playoffs Second Round 12/6/25: UND @ Tarleton State - Page 37 - Football - SiouxSports.com Forum I have to admit that I got good chuckle asking for the link.
  10. I have a feeling this is the case, and it just hasn't come to light yet (maybe it never will).
  11. This has been UND's offensive problem for a long time. I understand the desire to run the ball, but not all game situations are suitable for running. Need an O-line (ours was ok to good), need a QB (our was good then regressed to bad), need an OC (ours was a second choice that probably was "forced" on the new HC to have a one-year trial period - a test he didn't pass IMO). Now, wanting an O-line, QB, and offensive genius OC is what everyone wants but supply is limited. It's like saying a basketball team needs big guy down low. Yeah, everyone knows that and wants that, but that doesn't mean you're going to get it.
  12. Yeah, I’ll count that since it’s not technically a power play. I’m not a hockey statistician - is an extra attacker goal denoted on a stat sheet?
  13. Yes. No. Not that it isn't special, but then you'd also have to count goals by forwards, centers, and defensemen separately, too.
  14. Is that all the possible ways to score a goal?
  15. Yes, been pondering things like that, too. This season, UND also played more games than NDSU, and won more playoff games than NDSU.
  16. My brain. No way a first year coach who improved the program over the last several years is on the hot seat. Now if we’re talking OC, yes. I’ll give it a 70/30 chance he’s gone Monday.
  17. Two pronged problem of which he is half. QB play has been Vikings bad for half the season.
  18. Even with 2 playoff games, football season is so short, especially when compared to hockey. Hard to believe we have to wait 9 months until we follow a game again. 😕
  19. I would rather have touchdown Tommy. There I said it.
  20. Not that I can recall. Puzzling.
  21. There’s a lot I could say, but at this point, all I’m going to say is I hope Tarleton can beat the Bison.
  22. Was just going to say that UND scores 37 (5 TD and 1 safety) today. Other team scores less than that (somewhere in the 20s).
