I guess that's what I am saying - everyone should want the primetime game. The WCHA had it pretty lucky that they could have either UND or Minnesota (or sometimes even Wisconsin) in the primetime game and have great optics.

I know there's the argument for letting the No. 1 seed play early to "protect" them for the next game, but I'd say you want to showcase your best optics in primetime. League's best team playing against league's largest fan base seems like a no-brainer to me.

Watching the Big Ten semi-final, and it got me thinking about next season NCHC home-site playoffs. Will the regular season be shorter to accommodate and extra weekend between semis and championship?
