Trying to follow here as I’m tied up with relatives ahead of a wedding. What’s the score, etc?
-
Winning 1 of the “big three” and going undefeated in the others would be a pretty big step up, IMO. That doesn’t mean I don’t want more for this team. I’m just saying 9-2 is really good and I’d be excited for how far we can make it in the playoffs.

I have no problem with the players having this mentality, in fact I expect it. But fans can have a way of being a little delusional when it comes to their favorite team. Was just trying to gauge how much delusion there is from us. I hope it’s a great day tomorrow.

Lot of confidence on board this week. Not sure if it’s what UND FB FAN said and people are trying to will it by saying (writing) it, or if people really think we’re going to win.
-
yeah, I was surprised they went with that. they were terrible.

Caught the last 3 minutes on tonight’s rebroadcast. Don’t know if I got a great sense of how these teams are, but both of their quarterbacks can air it out. gotta say, I love SDSU’s field. No ads, crisp yard line font, and checkerboard end zone. Que magnifique!

This has been brought up a couple times now. Do we know for sure that Elidor was the intended target from the play call? Or did Elidor turn to look back once he realized he had blown coverage and maybe Tommy needed an 'out' from the original play call? I'm not saying that it wouldn't have been cool to hit Elidor in stride right in the end zone, but do we even know what all was going on on that play to make such a big deal out of it? We scored a TD. If you watch the replay, after the fake hand off, Tommy looks left first (there were two receivers left, Elidor was on the right). For what it's worth, Tommy threw from his own 47 and Elidor caught the ball at the 7, a total of 46 yards. Tommy did not look like he threw all he was good for, to me. On the play right before half, Feeney threw from his own 44 and the ball was tipped at the 3, a total of 53 yards. And he did look like he threw all he was good for.

Doesn’t give me warm fuzzies that NDSU’s offense is in the top 5.
-
If only one is a possibility, it would mean more to beat NDSU.

How about we always look fresh??!!

That's what I figured, but didn't know for sure. I stand by my post earlier that getting those guys that experience will probably pay dividends later.

Just now watching the longer version of the highlights (I did not see the game live or on replay yesterday), and I got to see a lot of plays that the shorter version of the highlights didn't have. That play in the second quarter where we fake the QB sneak with Vaughn and then Tommy comes to take the snap and then pass to Vaughn is just great. I also got to see the 2-point attempt on our first TD for the first time. That definitely should have been caught for 2. Oh well. Good runs by Smith, Skokna, and Z throughout. Offense is so dynamic with those runners and our receivers. Gutsy call late in the 2nd on 4th & short from deep in the zone. Glad that decision didn't come back to bite us. This place would've burned down again. Another gutsy call is the pass the Belquist on 4th & 1. Would have had lots of options on that play call, but that definitely wasn't one to expect. Schuster just doing Schuster things. Man, what an asset to bring scrambling into his arsenal. Also an asset - Vaughn getting short yardage seemingly automatically. Great punt late in the first half to pin them at the 5. Defense still struggling with some tackling and DL getting pushed a little too much for our liking. Defense wasn't all bad though. Some good coverage, and some sacks. Great play in the last minute of the half to turn the ball over and not let them score. Griffin is an nice asset to be able to bring in on offense to get path cleared or a push from behind. Nice pickup in the off season. The two touchdowns that were scored late by NAU, does anyone know if that was our backups in at defense? After the two touchdowns, a nice series by our offense to end the game.

I know green is our color, and I love the color green in general, but I prefer NOT to have green jerseys since the game is played on a green surface (except this week). I love the black and the white.
-
I am trying to get over the "don't show too many cards" and "collect the paycheck and nobody get hurt" mindset for this game, but we could really benefit from the victory. Would give us a little insurance, anyway, for later in the season.

I was impressed with how fast he scooted down the field on that return for 2.
-
I would have been interested in watching this game, but couldn’t. How did these two teams look compared to what we’ve seen from UND so far?
-
Got home and watched the highlights. I see what a lot of you were talking about in regards to missed tackles and giving up big yardage on third down. That said, we led 37-9 with 6 minutes to go. That’s a pretty good beat down. No team is gonna come back from that no matter how many on side kicks they recover. Now let’s really go make some noise.
-
Too bad about the garbage time defense, but probably better off in the end gaining that experience than to pad a blowout score.
-
Nice. I’d like to keep their score at 9, but understand some reps may needed for backups.
-
But still giving up single digit points per game.
-
For now. Where are we at in the game? 4th Q yet?
-
That was quick.
-
So new score is 22-9?
-
So NAU scored? But no extra point(s)?
-
Are we driving? How close are we?
