I think we have some great players on our team and we have had some great players come through this program over the last decade. We will also get better as the season goes. My one issue with the Sioux over the past 3-4 years is how they play when they have the lead. No matter what period it is it seems as though they are sitting back and waiting for the game to get over. Where are all the stat chasers? Where are all the guys who want to embarrass a team in their own building? This team tonight was playing for the 1-0 win and that's it. This has been a common theme in big games under the current regime.
I was in the box kiddy-corner from the injury so I honestly didn't see what happened only read about it. I agree that it would be best if he sat the weekend unless he simply got a stinger and is ok.
Yes, I was actually agreeing with you that Demko IS their goalie. I guess I could see where an extremely defensive person could misconstrue what I posted to think I was trying to correct you. Haha, settle down buddy.
I was just telling by Goofer buddy that I thought Toews was the best college hockey player I have seen in my lifetime. As far as a complete hockey player goes. He was super young but I had the feeling he was going to be an NHL star. I didn't know he would go on to captain to Cups before the age of 26 (I believe).
Agreed this has now become a very constant theme. However the team did not look that bad...they were put in a tough spot because Zane played so poorly.
One of the more embarrassing games I've witnessed. Typical weekend though..,.at least over the past couple years. Hak can get them to one one game but rarely two.
They ring it around the boards hoping to hit the far man.....that is how almost all nhl teams run the pp. The thinking is that two men will be there. Didn't look overly pretty last night...they'll figure it out.
