Right to the show. Good for him. Pretty cool to be there with Sandy and Pinto. I bet those boys are gonna have a damn fun time together.

Gonna miss this dude. Kid reached his peak down the stretch this season, turning into a more responsible and patient player defensively and added continued offense. Cheers, Klevo. We'll miss you!

They all go right to the show. Signing tactic to burn the first year of their ELC.

I think we'd need someone who could pot in that spot. Perron (setter), Strinden (getter), James/Blake/Gaber? (netter)

Blake is a setter (I’ll never use that term again :) )…his style changed when on a line with gaber. Especially on the PP. I’d like him to go back to his bread and butter which is being a play maker

    This....

It took watching 22 play for about 15 minutes of ice time early on to see his skill level was completely different than almost everyone on the team. The fact he was a 4th line center late in the season on a team that struggled to score 5x5 is absurd.

D was iffy early on but ya…clearly one of the more skilled guys on the team. Probably  should have had a spot locked on the top PP.

Line someone else noted, I would have liked him with either Blake or Gaber. I actually didn’t like Blake and gaber together even strength because they never passed. Both held onto the puck way too long. And Blake came in as a playmaker

I said this in the other thread, but he's my No. 1 portal pick regardless of position, and it's not close. Would be very big.

I guess it’s basically a sure thing. Why ado you say that? I track players fairly closely, but admittedly, I don’t focus much on goalies unless they’re high high end.

I saw Kleven become a much, much more responsible defender and much smarter physical player down the stretch, this year. Plus, he had some massive goals. This is a blend he has to find no matter what league he plays in unless he wants to donate his brain to science one day.

Completely agree. Without better O (specifically vision) he’s going to have a very hard time staying in the NHL.

Bast got plenty of run around here. Fair on Costantini, but again, we're talking about guys who weren't expected to be big time players around here. The rest of their careers will tell the story if their talent was at the ceiling or if the staff didn't do enough. Johnson is my biggest question mark as my eyes told me he's talented, but man, he was bad this year defensively.

I actually had high hopes with constantini. Was noted as a draft sleeper prior to getting drafted. I thought he was going to put up bigger ushl numbers but after his frosh season basically forgot about that. Really confused what happened there.

Johnson made some bonehead plays too but Moore, farmer, Frisch, etc also made some bonehead plays. Anyone remember 15 and 25 the first couple months of the season? They were on the ice for almost every goal there for a while. Moore’s no looker to the front of the net during the DU game? 6 pts in 13 games…+3 and a 3rd rounder? That deserves some leash unless there’s something else going on. I know nothing about the kids character…just have to trust the staff.

And if we get Frisch back and two or three of these four pop, we could have a fun season in front of us. We'll see.

Agreed. We need Gaber and Frisch back. We need caufield to come back and play a depth role (maybe it clicks for him next season who knows). Could really use Kleven back. I know it isn’t happening but it would be huge.

Going to be alot of new faces on defense next year.  Could be a good thing though.

For the incoming freshman absolutely. Think about the leash they’ll have. It benefits Strathmann the most as he plays wagon wheel hockey. Kid like that comes in any earlier and he’d get “Johnson treatment”

I feel the same way about 18 as I did with 6 hitting the portal. So inexcusable for a program that at one point was one of the leaders in development. Those two have talent and were completely misused this year. This past year was a complete failure by the Coaching staff on every level. Culture!

This program seems to be at a fork in the road right now. There's still a pathway where this offseason is a success, but man, it could really go sideways.

I do agree with a couple points you made. 6 and 18 were misused a bit, more so 6. However who knows what type of kids they were. Also, as someone else pointed out, 18 did get looks at top 6 here and there and didn’t produce. Curious how other players had such long leashes while still not producing.

I do agree on your form in the road comment. This program has to win to recruit…we don’t have the campus the programs do.

He was an unexpected surprise after his freshman year, so maybe he just peaked? Got plenty of early opportunities, but lost those down the stretch. Frustrating, but it is what it is. Losing both of these two isn't a good thing, but it does not mean we cannot have a much better season next year. Opens the door for a guy like Emerson to be an early cog in the lineup. Strinden, too.

yeah, he did get a few looks early on. Unless they are high end, underclassmen can be hit or miss at times. Curious how constantini will do moving forward. I really dislike the portal. Oh well.

Emerson should be close to a top 6 lock. He’s really good.

    24 and 18 in portal.

    What!!!

Edit- I thought Moore was 24 there for a second :)

Constantini was a head scratcher. During his frosh season I was impressed, really impressed at times. This year he was buried a bit in the lineup and never worked his way back. I track numbers pretty closely and I’ve yet to see a free fall in production like his (that I can remember).
