Moore had the puck carrier. James was beat to the net.
Yep can’t blame Moore

Who missed the guy crashing to the net?

I have a buddy that is a NE fan. I told him (jokingly) that Levi had decided to transfer to UND last year - he about shyt his pants!
That’s a good one…we’d be a 1-2 seed with Levi this year

He was kinda-OK at the WJC a couple years ago:
7 GP
0.75 GAA
0.964
3 shutouts
6-1-0 recordHis numbers last year were absurd as well. Will probably go down as a top 5 college goalie ever. He has the second best save % in NCAA history.

Well, we can cross Devon Levi off the list of potential portal goalies.
Count me as one who thinks his (sweet-looking) stats are inflated playing against weak competition.
In three career games vs western teams (AZ St and Western Michigan), 12 GA on 119 shots. .899 save pct. GAA abt 4.
…what? He’s in Hockey East. His numbers are great so is he. Actually his numbers coupled with how average his team was is incredible

He will command a lot as a free agent. I think people greatly underrate how good Frisch is. He's not gonna jump right into the NHL, but he's gonna have a lot of offers after this season. He's a very good skater, fantastic defensively, great vision and hockey sense, almost always in the right spot and has some good offensive skill.
I think and REALLY hope he stays. If he does, he wears the C and is the team's most important overall player, IMO.
I do think he could really help this team next year while also continuing to develop individually in a much easier league than the A. One area I slightly differ from you is his vision/O game. This is an area he can continue to get better at. Maybe quarterback a pp unit. I would say the same thing about kleven. There are definitely areas of his game that need work. Specially his O game if he’s going to try and play pro for the long haul. The NHL and AHL are not forgiving leagues. You want to be as polished as possible before going there because you may only get one shot…especially if you’re an undrafted player.

Look at the Sophomore class as a whole. I've never seen anything remotely like it. It was a class I wasn't super high on coming in, but I thought they were pretty solid last year. By the end of the year completely outperformed my expectations. There's not a single one that took that next step, I would argue there's not one that is even performing at the level they were at last year. Pretty crazy that every single one is performing worse than last year.
Edit: This is my concern with bringing in portal guys / 5th year guys. It really can hinder development for others. I just wish the rule of thumb was do not keep a guy for his 5th year when you have others on the roster that are more than capable of filling that position. Same with Portal guys.
Agreed, good post. All these guys are still developing However whiffing on an entire class hurts bad. My curiosity is, to your point, how they did fairly well last year and tanked this year. None are on pp…most are in and out of the lineup other than schmaltz. Tough to develop when the leash is that short.
-
We need to get schmaltz going a bit. Had so much promise heading into this year. Did he have pp time last year?
Also a bit shocked (now that I’m looking at it) on constantini. I didn’t realize how much his production had dried up prior to getting bench treatment. I wonder if there’s an injury. I’ve never seen production dry up that much.

When the UND season is over you'll be able to replace the six-letter "K" name with another and change the M to and N.
I read this 5 times…and I still can’t figure it out :)

Definitely Skill > what hand the player shoots with, but a lot has been made about the need for a RHD next year. I think when looking at the portal for a defenseman, I would look at that as well.
Agreed, i know they’ll be searching for a righty. I just think this kid may help out a team tremendously. From a depth perspective.

Jacob Bengtsson has entered the portal. I’m definitely not for the whole transfer game but I like winning more. He’s a bigger boys that put up solid numbers. I believe he has two years of eligibility too. May be an interesting add.

That 07 birth year is so loaded. I noticed two Nodak boys were invited, good for them.

Automatic qualifiers from Atlantic Hockey etc. eat up most of bids from 13 - 16 so realistically you have to be #12 or higher to have a realistic chance of an at large bid.
AH takes #16 only each year. I don’t believe any other team in that league is in the top 16. 14 and lower is typically safe. 15 if you’re lucky.
