This guy left over a month ago. Although he played in 33 games he was a healthy scratch during the F4. BC has also brought in at least four Dmen so I'm sure he wasnt guaranteed PT. I get it though, he was only a freshman, depth matters even if he's a 5/6/7.

Big difference is that Jost is quite a bit better (coming into his freshman year) than schmaltz was at the same time. I would say jost may be a click behind schmaltz (as a sophomore). Honestly they are slightly different players. Schmaltz is 100% a pass first guy who has to play with hard working goal scorers. Jost, while also a playmaker, is much more of an all around type player. His shot and goal scoring ability is top notch. He is also relentless on the D side of the puck. The missing piece of the equation is caggiula. I hope that with boeser taking a step forward and jost coming in as an elite player, someone like gersich can coming in and have a big year. He looked pretty dang good during the Beauty league. The one thing I've noticed about him is that he's not very headsy. Lacks vision. He absolutely flies though. -
Is Bucci going to claim trademark infringement (or whatever)?
-
Rem Pitlick is leaving his USHL team and going to play with the goofs this year instead of next. Probably the right move as he dominated last year. Collin Adams will have to step it up a bit.

Definitely, i was just saying that in general. I don't think there is a problem getting verbals from those young kids as long as teams/coaches are aware of the risks (which they most likely are)
-
DU just lost an '01 goalie recruit to the WHL. I guess that's what happens when you get a verbal from a 14 year old.
-
Trevor moore left DU. This will have a much bigger impact on them as compared to our losses.
-
That will hurt.

Jost's rights were just traded to Regina in the WHL. They actually have a decent team. Sounds like it's just a backup option as he's clearly going to UND. -
The more and more I think about it, I would rather have BG and Mank. in the NCHC.

I think Jost will be pretty similar to Dylan Larkin....maybe not as fast (obviously) but a tad more headsy. Agreed, we'll be lucky to get him for two. On a side note, I watched Gersich play in the Beauty Leage last week, he looked really good. We'll have to see if he can take that jump this year. -
I don't think so. Blasi is a solid guy. Miami has done a decent job developing guys. He wants to play in London, their going to be juiced up and will have a run at the memorial cup.

Roslovic signs.

Nope easy to get in., Although there were quite a few people it was very easy to find a very good spot. It will be worth it.
-
This game last night was awesome. J. Schmaltz was one of the better players I saw. R. Tufte looked very good too, he even undressed Big Buff one time. Great hockey for $5.

York used to be able to keep 1st rounders three years....boy did it all come crashing down this year.

I agree with that thinking however Shaw could be pretty valuable to this year's team. Having him play with Ausmus will allow him to be more offensive minded (which is what he should be bringing to this year's team). A third pairing of C. Poolman, Peski, or Johnson shouldn't be that big of a deal with sheltered responsibilities. Our top four will simply play a ton. That third pairing will be given win/win situations and will get more PT as they get up to speed. But to your point, Bubs may decide to play the rookie with a vet 5x5. -

I would flip flop Ausmus with Wolanin. Shaw is more offensive, I would not consider him a safety valve. He averaged roughly a pt/gm his last year in the USHL from the point. -

F - these seem like great lines. We'll see if Bowen cracks the lineup. I guess he wont be getting to much pressure from other guys. D - Shaw should be top 4. Solid player. -

I played with some of the UND boys this past spring and they noted that Wolanin was awesome in practice. I expect big things from him this year.
