  1. Oh...like cheap. I saw that slash, that's nothing. He was probably trying to get under Joe's skin. Crosby is not cheap nor is he a panzy. He used to whine quite a bit, however he's shed that reputation for those that watch him play.
  2. Dang. I thought we would have a shot if he chose the college route.
  3. You just contradicted yourself. Crosby is the opposite of a hack....he's generational.
  4. shame that wolanin had to sit some games at the end. From what I hear wolanin was a beast in practice. So athletic and skilled. Good chance he leaves after next year.
  5. Barring injury, if rinks gets the nod to start a game before Matej....i wouldn't be shocked at all to see him leave. But its not going to happen. Barring injury, rinks doesn't see the ice next year
  6. I was wondering the same thing, however from what I hear he was talked out of it. First there is no way he stays longer than 4 years (most goalies have to play in the minors for awhile anyway) and second we have some nice prospects coming in who will demand time (St. Cloud kid and Thome) by then. I honestly think it is an appearance thing because it seems silly that he wouldn't have done it, especially considering he just turned 19.
  7. Couldn't he go there now after playing one year in the US? He wasn't red- shirted.
  8. Agreed, and I honestly think Tomek will push for Cam's spot. Now if Cam continues to play well we could see a 1a/1b situation. I have seen Tomek play very recently and he's very good. Covers a ton of the net with exceptional lateral movement.
  9. He's in my top 3, I think he has cut down on the whining ten fold as compared to several years ago.
  10. Correct, at that particular time (when he was 15). I believe Parise and A. Schneider gave him the tour or were at least there for it. However, during what would have been his true freshman year, he had 102 points in the NHL.
  11. it was definitely fact all along, however u are definitely correct, there was no way he was coming here. Russo's "nearly" was a nice plug for und.
  12. I would say we are an extreme long shot . As in 0.
  13. Imagine last year's SCSU team playing an OHL team...with all that time and space. It would get ugly.
  14. what? Schmaltz had just as many pts as Dvorak....while barely getting pp time. Which was odd because he wad arguably the second best pp player on the team, that's on the coach (who clearly sucked at coaching this level). again you are completely ignoring the point were trying to make, that und had much greater (older) depth. what did marner do doing the wjc? He definitely didn't light the world on fire and he wad getting top pp time.
  15. I agree with you on that point only. They are very deep. We are talking about two completely different leagues. The OHL can have only 2 20 year olds whereas the NCAA has many 20 year old freshman. It's not a great comparison. Again, no one is arguing against the CHL leagues being great development leagues.
  16. you're comparing him to two undrafted players. Anyways I'm done with this pointless argument. I am a fan of both leagues...but still say UND wins 7 or 8 games out of ten games against London. Our D core alone would be way way too much to handle. Shaw would put up good number in that league, and that is not a knock on Shaw. I'm just saying.
  17. I actually think their top line would be one of the best NCAA lines, my some damage was tongue in cheek. in regards to your other post, about their lineup, u had two former NCAA busts.
  18. I don't like the guy, however he probably deserves it after being snubbed from the US World Cup team.
  19. That's what I was trying to do with my first lineup draft, although I did have Jost and Gardner together I guess. I just couldn't find another center. You are definitely right about Olson, he is probably better suited on the wing.
  20. Bingo. I don't doubt their top line wouldn't do some damage in college hockey. Marner, Tkuchuk, Dvorak, and Jones are all top notch studs. They also have a decent tendy and that Finnish Dman. But it's a completely different game up there; the top dogs put up video game numbers due to playing against other teams' lower lines. Most of those lower line guys end up in the CIS. While there is more top end talent in the CHL, the depth is no where near NCAA hockey (and I'm not even going to bring up the age difference again).
  21. u actually made several of my points in one of your previous posts. I say und wins 7 of 10. London and NTDP go 50/50 (maybe 60/40 London only because of marner).
  22. Alright, that's aggressive.
  23. That is the U-17 team...not the U18 team. http://www.usahockeyntdp.com/u18-schedule-results I had a very knowledgeable hockey guy once break it down for me. A top NCAA > CHL > USHL > BCHL (obviously in a matchup together not related to developmental reasons b/c obviously the CHL leagues are the top developmental leagues in total). A top notch BCHL team, most likely, would be an above average team in the USHL (this year's Penticton team probably higher up on that scale). The best USHL team would complete in a WHL/OHL schedule, probably middle of the pack, and would be a good Q team. A great CHL team would be a solid NCAA team (this year's London team would probably be higher up on that scale).
  24. the NTDP would easily compete in all chl leagues. They walk through their ushl schedule. Your post makes it sound as though they are just another ushl team. I'm not a chl hater like many others on this site but I do understand how stacked this years NTDP was (and has been for the past few years).
