  1. Kiersted was a much higher prospect than Lizotte at the same age.
  2. Worth’s issue is that he doesn’t play any D and he can’t skate. It will most likely hamper him in juniors and college.
  3. Carter Batchelder ('03) gave his verbal to CC. I'm pretty sure we were after him as well.
  4. I noticed that too. Stats at higher competition were underwhelming. However, TBH a lot of Worth's goals were because of him. It just shows the difference between HS hockey and juniors. Whole different animal. Every kid is good and dominated wherever they came from.
  5. With SCSU, MN, UMD, and even Mankato having solid teams the competition can be stiff. Plus, there are tons of good kids in Canada and other parts of the US. It's just a slight dry spell, I wouldn't look too far into it. The reason Bubs likes recruiting junior leagues is because those leagues have far greater competition (obviously). The kids aren't all putting up video game numbers and the one's that do are the one's to look at
  6. I don't fault kids for staying back and playing HS hockey. Does is slow development? For all but the most gifted, I believe so (vs going NTDP). But I believe the good ones always end up at the same spot, it just depends on how long it takes to get there.
  7. Yeah, I initially heard he was coming back but after what he was doing in the USHL I would be shocked to see him back. Nothing more to prove at the HS ranks.
  8. I thought so. Phenomenal player. Held back in school obviously.
  9. Agreed. Oh I'm sure Motzko would try and flip him.
  10. No I haven’t. He’s look nice in kelly green. Shredding the USHL right now. That’s the type of player I want Bubs to go out and get. Highly unlikely he’d back out on DU though. They have a great program.
  11. Exactly. Bubs will find a nice player to fill his shoes. Throw that gentlemen’s agreement out the door and find a stud. Ovviously no one else is playing by that silly rule. Time to beef up the squad.
  12. Go back and try and read your initial responses as unbiasedly as possible. Not once did I ever say brad does a bad job. He’s just a different type of journalist than you typically see in sports. And I do understand college hockey is a bit different.
  13. I agree with everything you just said. Not sure where the confusion lies. He simply isn't your typical hockey journalist (i.e. NHL journalist) that constantly criticizes and questions the team. Do you ever listen to Zimmer get grilled on Monday's? All I was saying is that he is more of an information arm/media marketer for the team. Let's calm down, I love the work he does do tbh.
  14. haha whoa, settle down. I am talking about all of the work, not just one tweet. Tough to discuss through a forum setting. As to your last sentence...you definitely could be right.
  15. Haha no, not at all. I just mean that schloss isn’t going to do what typical journalists do and bash their team/program. Schloss is a tool (the media) used to build up the program from a media standpoint. It’s smart actually. i just mean, I’m sure Donovan is backing off his commitment. Schloss learned from berry or one of the other coaches. He put that tweet out there to make it known, but he was subtle about it. Hopefully I’m wrong.
  16. Ya...saw Schloss' tweet. He's in the coaches back pocket so that was a designed tweet. He must already be gone and heavily on the fence. Jeez, in his commitment article...he's the hugger right?
  17. Ron Hextall out in Philly.....I'm sure Hak's days are numbered.
  18. JJ should have had 5 goals last weekend. So is Donovan most likely gone then?
  19. Saw that before. We should have several on the Canadian side as well.
