A win win situation : )

Yep, COLD clear nights are great ideal for satellite. The colder your LNB the better it works! Hey there is an idea, if the signal is crap remove your LNB and put it in the freezer for 10 minutes. it may just make athe differance between game and no game : )
-
No this was wrestling, I think I know the difference by now........ but after watching the last few Vikings games maybe not. "KSTP DLPU , Shakopee, pro wrestling" I missed it on a scan and Sprig found it. So he can confirm. I thought for sure you would be there since your close by. It was a laugh, I like those town hall type wrestling broadcasts.
-
I have noticed the same phenomenon since the beginning of the season, with the Sioux signal slightly to one side of the regular 91
-
Good signal quality tonight, at 70+ % quality GO SIOUX
-
It would be an ideal system for someone local in GF. Plenty of time then to get it up and working before the next home game : ) Maybe the uplinker at the Ralph should buy it to monitor the broadcast signal quality, instead of setting up then heading for the bar (joke) ; )
-
Alas the system may not have Blind scan or USALS being a bit older. A brand new EASY SIGNAL FINDER system is just $230 SHIPPED! (It also has Blind scan and USALS)
-
I have a football game on the SAME satellite at 79% signal quality : (
-
Added my feedhorn and now get 57-64% Signal Quality
-
No problem : ) I am getting signal quality of just 42- 47% tonight : ( Where is my feedhorn.........
-
Yes I have seen that once before, sounds like the software may have been corrupted? Not sure of the cause. An upgrade to the latest software will fix that : ) Alternatly just use DiSEqC 1.2 to nudge over a wee bit, then simply asign a number and store the position, then the dish will return to that exact position when you select the 91w satellite. This is actually more precise than USALS.

Thanks for the signal report.

Nice one Jake! ( Keep it handy you may just need it in the dead of winter (Not with signals like this )
-
My "professional" opinion is........... when Cheesemover spoke, they reacted ; )
-
Same here but I was not going to sit back while Sioux fans struggled with their systems. Plus I enjoyed the build and its another video up my sleeve : )
-
U R Welcome : ) GO SIOUX! (If you want you can give me a + (bottom right of all posts)
-
I nearly chocked on my Bean Burrito when the signal popped up........... I thought it was my magic cardboard feed-horn : ) hey keep it handy : )
-
Well up here also : ) 72%
-
Yes thats it (91w) , all LNB's are off freq. just a tad. So that freq. is the right one. (but worth reminding folks that if you blind scanned in your signal you may get a better signal by manually entering the exact coordinates) Just time to make a cardboard feed horn? OK maybe not. What knid of signal quality do you have, I am at 74% now : )
-
OK with just over 2 hours to go before game time I made a cardboard feed-horn I DID see better signals on weak feeds, enough to make the difference between getting a picture and not getting a picture. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, this will not work if you get no signal at all, but will help only if your picture is breaking up. And of course your results may vary. More info on the SatellitePlus.US forum! http://visionplus.us/smf/index.php?topic=7257.0

Also a football game at 73% Freq. 11973 Pol. H SR. 13230 And the usual few LIVE news feeds, also at decent signal quality in the 70s
-
Old faithful is there 24/7 (in black and white) Freq. 12055 Pol. V SR. 13350 73% signal quality the kind of level you require for a conus satellite feed ; )
-
And your other transponders on 91w were fine I guess. I am in the process of making a cardboard feed-horn, and I will test it on some weak signals, then the game at 4pm if it works I envision a new career in origami : )

Jakenine also a member on the Satelliteplus.US forum asked if there is ANYTHING he can do to get enough signal to watch the game. He has tried peaking his fixed dish but with no joy. I told him we were at the end of the road here, garbage (signal) in Garbage out............. but then I remebered this thread from a German member we have on the forum. he had similar issiues with a transponder that he dearly wanted to get...... so he made himself a cardboard feedhorn, and it worked! I will give it a try later today if i get the time but here is a link on how to make one : ) http://visionplus.us/smf/index.php?topic=6418.0
