always had liked the NAU road yellow unis they had. -
My guess is Fleck or the BSU coach, for Coyle's sake he better get either one and fast. Doubt any of the in-state kids flee, Andries already stated his commitment to stay

Total incompetency from the top/down Better communication would have solved most of the issues. The U of M President will more than likely be axed over this

After an up and down and all around road trip, UND looks to start the home part of the conference schedule on the right foot with the visiting NAU lumberjacks, who are coming off a 93-80 set back against SUU last weekend. Since taking NAU to the CIT championship 2 years ago, NAU has fallen on some hard times. Still quite a bit of youth on this squad. Last year UND won big down in Flagstaff 101-59 and have a 4-3 advantage in the series since joining the Big Sky. Including a 1-2 record in Grand Forks. Player to watch: Jordyn Martin (12.1 ppg, 8.1 rpg): should be a fun battle between him and Drick/Avants down low This could be what the doctor ordered for this squad, get 2 home wins, look good doing it and get some much needed confidence going into the tough Montana swing next weekend. Other Big Sky Games SUU (1-0) @ UNC (2-0) Montana (1-1) @ Idaho (0-1)* SWSiouxMN game of the night MSU (1-1) @ EWU (1-0) Off: Weber, ISU, PSU and SAC Prediciton: Home is where the heart is. UND TCB 81-64

Gophers Fired Claeys this afternoon. Nanne is just throwing heat on KFAN over it

Maybe the 5th year will be the charm, was for Nagy. (Yes, Nagy had more clout as a D-II coach, but he had some rough years before Wolters came into the picture) 16 more games + BSC tourney left on the mandate
-
My thoughts are this is like with Idalski, its NCAAs or nothing. I don't think Faison would be dumb enough to extend his contact 1 more year when he could have done that last summer and stick a coach with a final year of a contact with 2 full recruiting cycles*. NCAA = 2+ year contract any less = let go *Before anyone else chimes in with this, Yes SD did have 1 year contacts but that practice has been since retired so that counter point is null and void

come ON Geno!
-
if UND can stop shooting themselves in the foot...
-
some people need to overhaul their techniques
-
well hey, down to 15 by first media
-
well if they can cut the lead by 5 at each media timeout...
-
oh, NOW they decide to play.
-
back to back on court incidences and now this.. wow
-
Zero effort
-
wake up UND
-
Wait til Saturday, Sac makes PSU looks like Rupp
-
good start to conference season, 65-61 win over PSU.
-
for the game tonight, I think UND brings a solid defensive effort that gets the job done. I'll take UND by 5 77-72
-
PSU will be the toughest of the first 4 conference games, HOWEVER.... Given the high expectations and experience of this squad they need to start this on the right foot and win out in Portland. There should be no excuse for this team to not be rolling into Montana week 4-0 in conference play
-
I would agree on the High school kids yes, but his jucos have unfortunately not worked out and in the worst places to fail too. Transfers from other school have had a bit more success. Plus the Iowa connections haven't struck gold while equal talent in Minnesota goes elsewhere. has 18 conference games + BSC tourney to prove it. The last year of contract does open a scenario where if they go to the ncaas and jones goes to a different job. plus next years squad will have some good pieces again for a another top finish in the sky, no matter who is the coach (provided they stay of course)
-
Solid win tonight over San Diego

This is the same guy who defended his player after poking three players in the eye. I hope the Gophers curbstomb Iowa twice this year. we can debate on baldwins intent (yes you play to the whistle but iowas coach didn't have to react like that and his reasoning in the presser was silly. with that said, once again Avants stepped up and had a great game. UND is getting closer to having their answer at 5 spot and having a complete starting lineup. Big Sky play awaits, with the soft start to it there is no reason why they can't start it 4-0 going into the difficult Montana swing.

Welp, made Deadspin. It wouldn't bug me as much if this didn't come after what happened against NDSU
