  1. 30 games in the NHL hardly makes it a career.
  2. Many would have said the same thing about Ed Belfour. Nobody recruited him and he played on a crappy MJHL team in Winkler.
  3. Where were you and the rest of the supporters? You question Chewey when none of the supporters here calling for a SR vote did nothing but make fun Ron His Horse Is Thunder.
  4. We agree on this that is for sure. He knows his playing is going to be limited next season and it is hard to sign anything if you are not playing. So he tested the waters and found that there was a lot of ice in the water.
  5. From the guy who was jousting windmills himself not that long ago. At least you have stolen the analogy that I used about windmills to describe you and your friends and now have twisted it to use against someone else.
  6. The problem with getting an A job is he is a free agent. Teams have draft picks they are paying more money to and will play them instead. That is why I say he will be an ECHL, or as you said a CHL, player. He gets top shelved so much because he tries to play on his knees, ala Patrick Roy and others, but does not have quick enough of a glove to catch them. Think of how many great college players there have been that never got out of the ECHL and they were draftees. Dell is not half as good as many goalies that have played at UND and they never made it to the show. Someone here probably could give us a quick list of who ever played in the AHL. I can only think of two guys that made it do the NHL and that was Eddie and Jon.
  7. Only on this board, beyond that many people who know a lot about hockey do.
  8. Then he won't be going anywhere.
  9. And I with you. I did not even have to get out the dictionary today!
  10. No frickin way will he get an AHL job as a free agent. He would be lucky to get an AHL job even if he was drafted. He is not that good of a goalie.
  11. Many posters here displayed a level of insanity for 6 years though. It was clear all the way back in 2005 for anyone that did not wear their racist blinders and told themselves, "We're doing it to honor them".
  12. Why would he leave for $350 bucks a week in the ECHL for? Well there always is the CHL or the SPHL who could use a goalie for the right price.
  13. No they won't be a problem. Well at least that was what all of you were saying when Mac tried to say this during the hearings.
  14. Can you re-write history just a little more please? It would not have died a long time ago since Al was not that long ago. Everyone here was cheering on Al at the time.
  15. Though you never spoke up for 4 years. What afraid of being left out of the group if you had?
  16. And the same could be said for you for how many years?
  17. I love how you always use the term "PC" crowd. Sorry to tell you this but it is the PC crowd who fights for your rights and not the "Consevative" who wishes to take them away. Darn those PC crowd members who wish to help the whole and not just themselves. Shame on them for being so self-less.
  18. And what about your selfish desire along with everyone else here that helped to create the mess to start with? When are you people going to take ownership of the fact that all of you had a big hand in creating this problem? That is before all of you went into your self-rightous mode about saving the school. When all of you finally figured out 6 plus years later that you were nothing and had no hope, as if you ever did, of keeping the name you started you spin campaign. DaveK at least, along with Fetch, Chewey and a couple others, have stuck to their commitments without the phoney protecting the university arguements.
  19. Never was going to happen ever in the first place.
  20. That was from my conversation with the CFO of the Alumni Foundation. Which is different than what posters here claimed would happen. It was not only posters here that claimed that but many others including letters to the Herald. I wonder what happened with the long told story that if they changed the name the Ralph Foundation had the wrecking balls lined up? The thing that always made me laugh about that was you need a permit from the city to do any demolition work like that. Maybe ScottM can help with this but since the arena is on state property how hard would it be to take over the building under emminent domain?
  21. Which is your total right and I commend you for sticking to your beliefs.
  22. I doubt there will be anyone who does not reup their tickets because of the name change. But I was wondering about ALL those people who will not donate if the name changes. Haven't heard anything about this from you guys for a long time now. So are all these people that said they were never going to give money part of the people who voted to retire the name? HHHMMMM???
  23. But who cares who wins the NIT and what does that win make them?
  24. I'm with you on this it is the JV championship. Like if you win the NIT BB tourney are you number one or number 66 or 67th in the country?
  25. He was not a good man who avoided the union and local thugs. Being pragmatic he would have paid who he had to pay, he had no choice. Just like when he went on his knees to the Gaming Comm. to keep his license. Up until that point the largest fine ever handed out was to the Stardust for letting his Chicago friends skim the joint.
