It’s the inability to reliably punch it in for TDs in big games that has cost us and baffled fans. The NDSU and SDSU games were inexcusable. To be deep in the red zone like that and not get a TD is hard to swallow. Seeing it consistently to me means it’s on the OC. He should look at film from when Danny was OC. He was a redzone master.

Does “burn it down” count?

Jerry was garbage in clutch time. Isaac was garbage in clutch time. That’s why we lost those tight games.

Of course, but absolutely controlling the game against the best team in the country is worth 10x that imo.

Honestly, the NDSU game could be our only resume point and should get us in.

All you saying nothing has changed are as dumb as I feared you were. We are still ahead of schedule. Schmidt still doesn’t like the roster. In two years it will be unrecognizable.

Qb sucks, only 1 good wr, small rbs. You can see why the staff is being super aggressive at certain spots recruiting JUCO guys. I’m really curious to see how they handle qb going forward. I don’t think it’s realistic for Jerry to totally rebuild his terrible mechanics in the offseason. Hopefully someone that can throw with some semblance of consistency will rise to the top.

Davis is a really nice add to this class. He moves really well.

Speaking of getting jobbed, Wiltshire didn’t get MVFC defensive player of the week with 8 tackles, 2 sacks, a ff, and a pick 6. Lost to a guy with 16 tackles, a ff, and a pbu.

Our losses are top quality. We should be good to go.

They didn’t lose those games, we did.

Freuchte can make his life easier by just calling easy to execute plays when we need a couple yards. He’s gotta stop with asking Jerry to throw it clear across the field when a slant would do just fine. Or if we have it first and goal at the 3. Just run it 4 times and kick the extra point. Also, get back to using the TEs for Christ’s sake!

He’s not the new kicker. He’s the backup. The starter will probably be back next game.

Is he up for the Heisman too?

Our special teams is very good outside of the kicker situation. Had the two blocked punts, but other than that I don’t see an angle to attack the special teams.

That makes sense if you don’t consider NDSU narrowly escaped last week. Our defense is getting stronger. If our offense can find their groove again we will be just fine.

Almost like we coulda done that last week and beat the #1 team in the country
