  1. so it's eids' fault the team in front of him slept for two periods against yale? I will give you the unh game in this argument but that was one game and eids has as many broadmoor's as dell and he had a harder route go to get his.

He's a rebound machine and cant stay under control when he slides and goes out way too far when he cuts down angles. Dell is just better that's why he started last year and has been better of late.

  2. Dell starting?

Dell better start. We don't need Brad 'fumbles' Eidsness costing us in tournaments again. Dell only lost to Michigan last year becuase they put up a force field in front of their net to get to the final.

  3. I agree. This level of theatrics is very embarrassing! I couldn't imagine being out of high school, let alone being a college team and doing this for team bonding, superstition, or whatever. I guess this is the sole reason Grant Potulny receives a paycheck, his biggest contribution to the program. "Hey, let's bring a G.F. Red River tradition to the Minnesota Gopher squad." What a bunch of knuckleheads!

They look like a bunch of idiots too! There's no sugar coating it. It's stupid. Plain and simple.

Lets hope that another talented team of piss head rats (Red River/Minnesota) loses to a hard working younger team from a smaller area (Grafton/UND) in the semis of the tournament

  4. Mario sucks. He works hard and wins some faceoffs and scores once every two months. I like that he works hard and has a nice last name but thats about all he has going for him. What I don't understand is his utter lack of any offensive skills for a Sioux forward after being in the program for four years, you'd think he'd be at least decent by now with all the training they do. Saying he's a good forward is on par with some of the crap we hear from NDSU fans, he's a good leader and a hard worker but this pig does not need any more lipstick.

  5. Per a Nate Baukol tweet, Ross Brenneman and Romon Bridges are the 2012 Beefmaster award winners. I'm not surprised by Brenneman, but Bridges seems surprising, at least to me.

Roman is small and strong so he has an advantage in power index like Weston Dressler did

  6. Just a matter of personal opinion; I'm not a fan of their uniforms. In addition, I would like the athletic department to be homogeneous in terms of their supplier. Currently, Nike provides uniforms for all men's athletic teams with the exception being hockey.

Adidas does offer the largest competitive advantage though with the lightest shoes out and the best fitting uniforms for less to grab on to. Either way the football team is going to be upgrading and I think it'll be a great thing especially for recruiting and team moral.

  7. I've been told that the lifting has been going well. Sutton almost breaking his clean record, multiple players benching over 375 including freshman DE Hartung, and freshman reciever Jackson benching nearly 315.

  8. maybe I am being to judgmental, but being 17 and heard the stories from many of my highschool friends on the hockey team, they say he's got problems. Don't get kicked off a US hockey team.. that really says something about your attitude.

imagine that, highschool kids being jealous of someone better than them at a sport.... you don't get on the US National Development Team without working your ass off. I not going to pass judgement based off of a 16 year old doing something dumb and some other sixteen year olds being jealous that he's doing what their parents thought they could do.

  9. When do they announce the results? Or when do we find out?

They usually don't announce the results. I know some guys on the team and they get a book with workouts and results for all lifts and other testing.

  10. Can he still move? I don't care how good he looks on TV or how ripped he is if he can't get away from a cover corner.

Any chance he moves to TE? Just thinking how tough it would be for a D to defend that. They would either have to zone, Man up with safeties(to leave LB's available to stop run), opening the middle of the field, or man up with LB's which I would bet aren't as athletic as those two guys. That could be a good match up in the 20-10 range. Man i should have been a coach ;)

We'll know how he can move soon. They do their testing ( 40, pro agility, vert, and broad ) today. I'm excited to see if any of the freshman or anyone can join the 4.4 40 and 40+ vert club with Mersereau since Hawkins is done.

  11. Unexpectedly walked in on the QBs and receivers practicing at the Hyslop Multipurpose gym today (Saturday, about 1 p.m.). I paid close attention to Braden. It was odd to watch a lefty, but his throws were superb -- straight and accurate. There were no real bombs thrown by anyone, mostly short pattern stuff and some mid-range over the shoulder stuff for the receivers. I realize there was no opposition of any kind so take this with a grain of salt. But it was sure fun to watch the future in action. R.J.looked like he's in as great shape as ever, fast and darting. There was another receiver who was much taller than R.J. -- couldn't tell if it was Hardin or Tyree (sp?), but you could tell he was in the gym over the off season. Looked totally ripped. The rest of the receivers there looked to be bigger, plodding tight end types. Joey Bradley and another QB (maybe Comes) also were there throwing. Wish I could have stayed longer but had to get to the men's BB game.

The receiver you are reffering to must be Jameer Jackson. I hear he's about 235 pounds now and has been lifting a ton of weight in the weight room.

  12. Critique this combination. I believe black pants and green jerseys look great together. Keep in mind, one of the most obvious problems the uniforms have had the past couple seasons is the mismatched green between the helmets and jerseys. By adding black helmets to this combination (green jerseys/black pants), I believe UND football would have a very sharp football uniform.

not bad, huge improvment from last years jearseys. what site did you make this on?

  13. Don't say that. Auburn/Alabama is everything that is wrong and right with sports. NDSU/UND while fun, and to be taken seriously, is no Auburn/Bama

Football is no religion in these parts. I wish it was, but it's not, not even close. Passionate and crazy, but not radical and extreme like they are. Some portion of each fanbase would cheer for the other team in a big game for us while Alabama would love to see Auburn lose and lose and lose and lose and then lose some more while they win and win and rub it all in and say they have better BBQ
