What's the next fad? Matte vehicles?
Just because you can do something...doesn't mean you should.
there are already plenty of matte vehicles. if done right looks fantastic. if its on a crap car and not done right it looks like garbage. i think we could have some good looking matte black helmets (like Cincinnati, they did it right, not too flat), and the players want them so why not they'll probably play with a little extra bounce feeling like they look good.

Karl Goehring happened and he left the team before his junior season. He had injuries as a soph and ended the season 2nd string.

Funny and true. Sweden yes Norway noooo. They suck at and couldn't care less about hockey. This argument is like comparing an apple and an orange based on appleness. Why don't we start arguing about which sport is more popular between class b basketball and hockey or football in north dakota?

Graftons Jake Hanson hit some huge shots last night in their section championship game. He was a cold blooded killer down the stretch and iced the game with two free throws after splashing down a fade away three to take the lead with under 30 seconds left. He never looked overwhelmed under huge pressure, I can see why he's not affraid to walk on as a quarterback with his confidence.

Get Jeff Panzer and Dean to come back and speak to me on the sioux chat during games and I will think harder about the idea. I love those to and they have proven by their actions how loyal they are. By the way what ever happon to the " Home of the Sioux" I pretty sure most of you if not all have seen the sioux at the Ralph. What made you all call Sioux for if it is races. By the way did you all know that race only makes up 6% of our genes. We are alot closer then yopu may thing to the natives.

I will continue to commit to the the spirit of North Dakota. We are all fans. It is shown in the things being said. I agree it is time to move forward; however, for a different reason then sports. Are we all more concerned about sports then the feelings of the native tribes. When it was just their feelings everyone said no. Now everyone says yes because of the sports issue. Come on I know North Dakota people are Smarter then that. I say change the name if we need, but dio it for the right reasons. WE ARE NORTH DAKOTA.
Just wondering where did all the signings on the pats. come from? Everyone seems to think the time is now. Why all the agreement for change now. Don't say sports. Give me something better then that.

I grew up in Grand Forks loving the Fighting Sioux and enjoying their success. I am an alumnus of UND. I have more Fighting Sioux gear than I probably should. It's the best nickname in all of sports and easily the best logo. The logo means even more to me since I got to know how great of a guy Mr. Brine is from being in some of his art classes. I am also a very stubborn Norwegian/Swed that would love to keep everything to spite the NCAA. That being said we need to move on. There would be nothing more selfish for us to do than to bring about the death of UND athletics just so we can have a nickname and to keep dragging this nickname, which represents more than just the school, through the mud while in the process making the whole state look ignorant and short-sighted. We need to move on because what good is a nickname and logo if you have no sports teams worth cheering for.

Looking at the pwr, the DU series is critical. I have no delusions that we are a national championship team, but I'd like the freshman to get an NCAA regional undr their belt.
Sure this team doesn't look the part but all it takes sometimes is to get in and get hot or lucky or both. Who thought the Giants would win the SuperBowl this year after they barely got in? Not saying we'll do it, but we are overdue. The white to green ratio of banners in the Ralph needs to be adjusted.

I think I'm going to puke if someone mentions Bradley as a possible starter next year, he could hardly get the ball to the reciever on a bubble screen. He would propbably be a decent qb for a team like Mankato. Comes, on the other hand, has plenty of arm talent and good pocket presense and has had two years to digest the offense. Hendrickson has an absolute cannon and is one of the fastest players on the team but has maturity and consistancy issues. This spring we will see what Hansen can do, I hope he has 'it' and can allow the coaches to use the playbook and create mismatches. I am extremely excited to see the new players show what they can do this spring and see how the younger players have improved but please, please lay off the Bradley Kool-Aid...

Brian Lee might be the most underrated player in UND Hockey history.
Had he left his purse in the locker room instead of bringing it on the ice with him every night he couldv'e been great. He shyed away from contact like it was his job. That doesn't work at UND regardless of how much of an offensive defenseman he was. Chay had no problem with getting a little dirty and he probably doesn't come up to Lee's shoulders and was a more productive player. I can't say that many other players have been more dissapointing to me in my history of watching UND hockey. Such a high draft pick and not much else to show for it...

I'm sure they will just look at the further expanded playoff feild as more chumps to invite for a Fargo Dome playoff beat down like they did in the 90's......

In all honesty, it would certainly be nice to land Jones especially after losing two blue-chip recruits to the CHL recently but how much will he help if he is a one and done. I don't think a 17 year-old freshman d-man will be all that great of a benefit even though he is a potential high first round pick. It would certainly be nice to have a high profile guy spurn the CHL for UND but to me it is only worth while if he plays at least 2 years of college. Either way I think it's a moot point since I think he is headed to the CHL.
Toews did just fine as a 17 year old. If he comes in at 18 years old we might only get him for 1 year insted of 2

'Not to start a fight but "you have the running part down"? I picked 2 games from last year Sioux Falls 50 attempts 2.2 av. USD 29 attempts 1.4 av. I don't see how you can say you have a good running team? I like your enthusiasm as a fan but sometime realism has to over rule it. Playoffs? Hell we have most of our team back and with what I know of the MVC teams next year (which will all be better-except USD) I wouldn't say NDSU has a lock on the playoffs.
216 with a 5.5 average at Fresno. Jake Miller had 961 yards and 13 TD's even though for half the season apposing defenses knew that even a slant was testing the outer limits of Joey Bradley's arm strength. After the first 4 games teams were putting 8 in the box all day and asking us to pass on them, which didn't usually go well.

With the departure of coach Belmore perhaps we should try and bring in Jimmy Kleinsasser in as a coach. He could possibly coach tight ends and coach Schleusner to wide recievers. I just think it'd be extremely cool to have him on staff call me crazy but I think it'd look great and be a fantastic fit and selling point.

Baylor had some when they scored 1000 points in their bowl game and they were too flat and looked like crap. It doesnt sound bad but look terrible how they did it. I also couldnt see our program having 2 types of green helmets.
