  1. Wow Mike Edwards looks like a monster on the OL. Hard to not have him there, he finishes his blocks like Michael Oher's block on the Blindside!

we're pretty stacked at guard right now. DT and OG are pretty similar positions as far as o and d compairisons go so im sure if our depth is at quesiton he'll be the first in line to fill the hole.

  2. Fletcher is listed on the list, fourth from the bottom. Anthony Taylor has been removed, however, due to a couple articles referencing him as committed to Eastern Illinois.

He was off the list and now he's on. I'm glad thats all it was.

  3. Just goes to show you BSC is usually a 2 team race and now with the new additional teams, the teams that don't have the Montana's on the schedule have the under hand for the (maybe) third spot. This year Montana was the only real good team in the BSC.

Just like NDSU was the only real good team from 'the valley'

  4. I very much hope its Jameer Jackson. If he can step up and be the big receiver to go along with Hardin, McGill, and Ivery, it would allow us to redshirt all four of the incoming receivers and give them a whole year of practice time with Bartels and Mollberg.

If that is the case, this offense has the potential to be the best I've ever seen at UND. If Hanson can get quickly accustomed to the offense he'll be throwing to 3 good smaller receivers, 2 big targets in Nichols and Jackson, behind a line that brings back a lot of experience, and handing off to 2 quality runners that compliment each other very well. I expect points to be put up in bunches in our first year in the Big Sky.

Don't forget about Townsend. He had a horrible ankle injury his freshman fall camp and from what I hear is just now getting back to being where he was with the ankle befire the injury. He could be a big time possesion reciever.

Also Roman Bridges should be a stud kick returner. And Jer Garmin can hopefully improve as much as Jake Miller did from his freshman to sophomore year. I'm expecting big things on offense, the playbook should be wide open.

  5. Is anyone else excited to have another player with a great football name on the team? Conrad Schwarzkopf is an excellant name. Myles Jablonski is another. Stanchik is another. Anyone have any favorite classic football names of former players?

  6. UND could beat Alabama or Oklahoma. Is this what you are saying? Do you believe this? Really? Pretty sure 99.9% of people anywhere would agree with me. Maybe we are all short sighted!!

I didn't say right now spaz. Look at the process that Boise did apply it to UND. Yes, Really. It was people like you who gave them no chance in those games. Fool you twice shame on.....?

  7. UND would never make any playoff. The best the FBS can hope for in regards to a plyoff is an 8 team playoff. No chance UND will make that. Absolutely none.

Boise State did it. Beat Alabama, beat Oklahoma. Short sighted people like yourself will always doubt visionary statements play it safe and watch the risk takers do great things.

  8. I would say that high school football in Fargo this year, and really in the entire east region at the AAA level, was really down.

It hasn't been just football. Hockey is down (other than Red River) so are basketball and soccer. Central used to have over 100 players, this year they were down to around 50 if they were lucky. And those 50 players were garbage compaired to how they used to be on an average year. I'm not sure if you put South and Davies together this year that they would have even been good. Were there any elite players in the AAA EDC this year?

  9. I've actually seen conceptual renderings of a horse shoe stadium that would incorporate the existing memorial stadium that seats around 25,000-30,000, but I'm sure that would be more in the $70-$90 million price range. I would love to see an outdoor field but they would have to construct some sort of heating system to keep people coming during winter months.

The horseshoe design was scrapped in its place is a retractable roof stadium that still encorporates the facad of Memorial and would seat around 25000. The drawings are online.

  10. Who do you guys think will be the breakout redshirt freshman?

Will Ratelle (stud), Roman Bridges, Zach Adler, Jameer Jackson, BJ Fifita/Javon Butler. Maybe also Brandon Anderson depending on if Devin Barton is above him or not.

  11. What about this guy...

Pretty average leg strength. Looks awkward when he kicks. He doesn't bend his knee which is very weird and slow. And why would he kick off of a tee if he wants to kick in college?

  12. Three scholarships to WRs really surprises me especially when it appears we already have some good ones on the roster (including redshirts Jackson and Young). Does anyone know if all these receivers are back on campus this semester? I wonder if we had a couple disappear on us.

You can never have too many athletes. Great teams stockpile talent. We'll be able to ground and pound and spread it out, what a nightmare to defend.

  13. So we got Mollberg and Bartels in this class, both good gets it appears but I am just wondering about everybody else. I just don't know how good these other guys are and most of the other guys are not found on Rivals, Scout, or ESPN not that that means anything. Just kind of nervous about this class with a lot taking walk-on opportunities instead of coming here.

I have the same feeling about some of these players as you do, but just in looking at the other Mussman recruiting classes im just going to trust that they are mostly all quality players with at the very least potential and work ethic.

  14. They really need to get the new athletic facility going. Something like that would bring a huge boost in recruiting for the forseeable future.

They're working on the funding and naming rights of such a thing as we speak. The funding is included in that ND Spirit campaign.

  15. Am I the only person that has a problem with Eidsness playing? Dell is the far better goalie and doesn't flop around the crease and go sliding beyond the posts leaving a wide open net like Eidsness. With the depth situation boardering on ridiculous you'd think the coaches would at least want the best option in goal.

  16. Is Zach Adler going to be playing TE or DL? He is listed as a DL on undsports.com and his jersey number is #93 which would be odd for a TE. Also is Breon Butler expected to be back this year?

TE. Think Hernandez with the Patriots. More of an H back TE. And I wouldn't be surprised that Butler would be back from his shoulder injury after rehabbing in California.

  17. I was just naming the really young receivers. Hardin was too old to make that cut. But I am very excited to see what the offense looks like with all of the talent that has been collected. Also I am excited to see the new players on defense like Ratell, Peters, Welch, Fafita, the Browns, Butler and Idowu.

  18. Kenny Golladay looks the part. Lets hope he's another great wide receiver recruit for us. It'll be interesting to see the offense evolve with the young talent and qb and wr. I wonder if we'll spread it out a bit more to use Ivery, McGill, Barientos, Jackson, Young, Bridges, and Adler to their full potential.

  19. Sorry not Mr. Smith. Haven't heard a word on him. This one I haven't heard inside or out but you'd think he'd be inside with the returning depth that we already have on the outside and alot of talented but inexperienced inside linebackers.
