  1. They're going to bring in at least one qb. You can't get by with only two QBs on scholarship. Hanson would be a third body but not a realistic option. They need at least one FR or a transfer this year to add depth. I have full confidence that Mollberg will be the man. He's got a really strong arm but has the ability to change speeds when he needs and has great touch. Not accurate like Hanson yet but he certainly could be, after all ESPN rated Mollberg as a 74 and rated Hanson as a 73 coming out of highschool, and that's with Mollberg playing in a run first scheme. The kid is already built like a Mac truck for a FR QB and will be able to physically handle it right away.
  2. I'm assuming you've got the wrong guy. I haven't been to Florida since I was about 11 on a vacation. Other than five years spent at the ol AC getting a second degree I've lived in GF.
  3. He learned the offense so defense will be cake by comparison
  4. Enough all ready. We get it, you're a hockey guy. Thanks to some incredible foresight by this forums creator there is a hockey thread where you can talk about how petty other sports are and how the hockey team didn't lose to a crappy Alaska team. Good thing they play a big time program in Alaska Anchorage this weekend so you don't have to spoil any moments of your splendid fringe sport filled life with football. Have a nice weekend.
  5. All 120 lbs of Ivery were flying to the ball. It was awesome to see someone out there play that way. Why was it a converted WR?
  6. McGill will start. He's always open and run outstanding routes. It's a no brainer. The depth will only push the young guys to be better and in turn the next guys and the next guys. It's how it should be at every position.
  7. Your parents must have had one hell of a time explaing air to you as a child.
  8. How bout this for a hypothesis, Fargo/NDSU has always been about football and Grand Forks/UND has been about hockey. Perhaps that along with 5 years of crap in a row would point to the attendance woes?
  9. pretty bold statement, perhaps you should reconsider that thought
  10. Opposed to them leaving and not coming back in? Sounds like no difference to me.
  11. Thanks for showing that you guys actually care and shedding light on the work you guys have done to step it up. Do you think the volume issue at the Alerus is a lack of willingness to crank it or just old speakers that can't handle it? Also as far as the intro goes I'm not sure the team really gets amped by the current one, although it is an improvement over older versions. I don't think we should be scared of a little rap for the players to get juiced up with in the intro. Also some smoke outside the helmet with green strobe lights as they walk into the helmet would look awesome. Just show that on the screen with some good music instead of the back in black intro. The intro was improved this year but has a ways to go. As far as student/ fan participation goes why not have a 'contest' where on each side a third of the sections have a U and then the next sections have an N and then the other group of sections have a D and then have a booming U-------N---------D U-----N-----D U--N--D chant that people could get into. How bout a signature song or two like Wisconsin does with their Jump Around after the 3rd quarter? Dry run at hockey games and carry over to other sports? Also, do you guys have any influence with the Alerus and their policy to not allow tailgaters to leave at half and come back in? I feel like the students and other fans would love that. Get some good food and something to drink at half and go back in to watch the rest of the game. I and others loved the UND version of Hard Knocks that you guys did, we wants more..... I realize the limitations of staff but something simple like getting to know position groups and the traditions of each would be a great way to get to know the guys on the team. What about an all sports pep rally the first week of school at the Betty of the Englestad and show highlights of the previous season and hype the coming seasons for the freshman and other students? I think just overall making sports like football and basketball seem more 'big time' than the perception is at the time would make it seem worth the students time to check out and get involved in.
  12. The montana game had to have been good for a chest bump......
  13. No playoffs, is it even worth it for him to play?
  14. It's not even close. I went to both schools. The ratio of male/female is in UND's favor by alot. And they're better looking besides that fact.
  15. Should have doesn't get anyone any closer to making the playoffs. If it did we'd only have one loss and would be playoff eligible. It matters because people 'need' to measure dicks
  16. They actually have a really really good run defense. You can't run on them so you have to pass, just like those Vikings teams. You try to run and get stuffed so you can only pass which skews their pass defense stats. They have a soon to be pro TE who can't be covered by anyone on your team since he's 6'6" and can run. The QB is also big and very mobile so pressure can backfire. It'd be a good game and you guys could win.
  17. Game day production needs to be on par with what they do for the hockey team. Intro blasting through the speakers. Tailgating needs to be adjusted. O yea and winning alot.
  18. Anyone who thinks there is a controversy still needs to go out back and fashion themselves a switch and come back inside for their whoopin
  19. the HD looked really nice, so did the announcers maroon tie. couple of Montana homers.
  20. Underthrown balls are hard on DBs to defend. Overthrown balls are impossible to catch. I'll take underthrown with 70%+ completions. His only huge knock is arm strength....
  21. Dan Hendrickson was an all time great but never got his deserved credit.
