Seriously though, the one thing we can all agree on is that the penalties need to stop. False starts? That's like missing free throws. Personal fouls? Keep your dick in your pants. On the other side of the coin we need to keep in mind that we are in the Big Sky and the refs are awful every week for both teams. Those PI calls that were missed that cost us multiple first downs when the DB gave our WRs a half nelson? Yea, that is terrible. But in the end we won a sloppy ass game where both teams contributed to the slop. On to Poly who will kick our ass if we play like that again.

I agree 10000000000% with you on recruiting. We've been stacking the defense every year since Bubba got here and it has worked. He also tried stacking the OL but some unexpected circumstances have taken away from that. This staff can recruit. We need speed on o right now and a hand full of big fat and nasty SOBs to open holes for skill guys. Santiago is all world if you give him anything. He's been given next to nothing this year so far. Speed speed speed for this class.

Guys are in a position to succeed though. They need to make a play mano e mano. Rudolph can't do it for them. We left a lot of points on the table today and it wasn't play calling. It was execution by the players.

Give Rudolph a couple WRs that can run and an OL that can block 1 on 1 and you get the results from the last 3 games last year. He's trying to minimize damage instead of attacking. He's calling the plays but he knows what he has and that the defense is damn good when he gives them time to rest and adjust.

We won an ugly ass game. This is starting to remind me of 2011. Except our DBs are officially making plays. That is a game changer for the defense. The only time they had any long completions other than the Harris missed tackle late in the game were on plays where the qb was running around for over 10 seconds. Great job staff on coaching them up and great job players on finally being D1 quality.

This is exactly what I have been talking about. And this is not on the coach. The guys are in position and they are whiffing..... a lot. There are yards to be had by our backs and they can't make them happen if our OL can't, at the very least, get their hands on somebody.

Bunch of really good punts with great coverage. Good kick coverage as well. You're looking at three plays. I agree about the FGs though. He needs to be better, he's not a fr anymore.

Special teams is FG KO and Punt. We're good on 2/3 of that. Our offense is much worse than that.
