Alex Cloyd was wasted. He was an all American level talent.

I know everyone is hot on the new OC, and for good reason, but let’s maybe put the pitchforks down for Danny. I have major gripes with how Danny called certain situations, the entire Sac playoff game for instance, but do keep in mind that in the red zone he was an absolute assassin. Fruechte could take a page out of that book IMO. We’ve had to settle for too many short fgs. Against top teams that will bite us. Other than that I’ve been very impressed.

I am very curious to see how we do things against good teams. I’m still thinking we may be saving Romfo running true RPOs for when we need it. Time will tell.

This is another great test for a young team. Are we disciplined enough to execute when the game isn’t an enticing matchup which makes for easy motivation? Good teams can play at a high level against an inferior opponent. The goal should be to bury them early and get guys valuable reps in the second half. Anything less is a failure.

You have to assume this next game is the one where he could get 1.5 quarters of action. We need to break them in the first half and get dudes valuable reps. We’re a super young team so it’s been nice to have 3 easier games to work guys in. But yea if Jerry doesn’t get meaningful time I will turn into a Pakistani cricket fan real quick.

I’m more concerned about the 3rd quarter after last week.

It’s a major gripe of mine with him. It’s not new to Jerry.

Didn’t get to watch live but we mauled them to start. That was a glimpse of us having a legit defense for the first time in a long long time. Once that mobile qb got in there it was a nightmare though I do feel we did improve a bit later in the second half. Offensively I think the OC was trying to prove a point on film that will pay dividends in the future. We needed to show that stacking the box isn’t necessarily a good option against us and we did a decent, not great, job at that. Lots of improvement to be had on both sides but I see potential with a very inexperienced team. We will improve a ton over the course of the year. Romfro had some bad moments for sure but he got the job done. Jerry should’ve had 2 full series at the end at least. Bubba does a terrible job getting his backup qbs playing time. Even with romfro needing reps I can’t justify not getting the young guy some very valuable experience. Total joke. We left a lot of meat on the bone today and I hope the team is pissed off about that. We did not look good in the middle of this game and I hope Bubba and company are harping on that all week. It was a partially dominant win but we need to get to that next step mentally where we finish the job and grind them to dust down the stretch. Also, is there a mute button so I don’t have to sift through the keyboard diarrhea on this site?
