The only decent run defense we faced when we had success was UW. I agree about Idaho St though, we were about to blow their doors off then that fumble started the “here we go again” mojo that has haunted our teams under Bubba.

Who knows how everything went down behind closed doors but the timing is curious. Danny very well could have called him up on saturday and told him the job was in the bag and the interview was a formaility.

I was thinking more of fire Rudy and let Danny run with it to end the season.

This weak playoff year presented a golden opportunity for a deep run even though we weren’t a great team. We screwed the pooch mightily to say the least. I’ll say it’s a good thing for our program long term since we got rid of those two staff members though.
