Make no mistake, we got lucky in the first quarter. They dropped a sure fire TD. Right in the guys hands. We followed that up with a clutch blocked FG. Totally different game if they catch that ball. Down 14-0 right away is tough and they would have had all momentum to burry us. We can’t afford to keep starting like that.

He was a high risk recruit because of academics. We saw that play out with his eligibility already. The coaches have surrounded him with good role models and he’s doing much better.

Exactly. To be a true #2 we need to be able to play a full 4 quarters first of all. We also need to be able to execute a game killing drive on the ground. We could not do that against SDSU, the d had to bail us out over and over again. And just like last week, our passing game on o and d is a major weakness. We need to clean all that up to sniff even deserving a mention of being top 5 let alone #2. That said, I think the team has great chemistry which goes a very long way in football. It’s the secret sauce.
