  1. You can’t say one guy ran a 4.6 and the other ran a 4.66 and be taken seriously. On top of that, everyone knows that HS athlete measurements are notoriously inflated to increase their recruitability.
  2. Right, you are aware that you can’t really compare 40 times unless they’re using the same running surface and same method of measurement right? That’s why the combine is the true test for that.
  3. Greg was like 5’10”. You don’t need to be all that tall to be a deep threat, it’s a nice bonus but yea, hands and speed. If McKinney had reliable hands he would be just fine for that role.
  4. Remember when Clive George’s started playing in 2015? We had a good OL that year. Remember how clogged up things would get because they didn’t have to worry about anything over the top? Remember how all of a sudden our offense was unstoppable when he started popping the top off? I member.
  5. Who’s ignoring it? It’s one of the biggest talking points.
  6. Where are you getting your numbers? Also Sheppard was a very good route runner, Brock isn’t there yet. And you can’t say someone is faster just because you had one guys time going to the hundredth and the other two going to tenths. That’s just not sound.
  7. Zach Vraa was for their early great teams before injuries slowed him. Sheppard was after that. On top of that, you’re going to really gloss over the fact that I clearly stated a deep threat can open up the run game second only to a good OL? Are you really that incapable of a true argument? This isn’t a novel concept, it’s well established.
  8. None legitimately could “blow the top off” the defense. That’s the key.
  9. Wanna know what helps the run game more than anything other than a good OL? A deep threat that requires a safety over the top constantly. That opens everything up for everyone else.
  10. We didn’t have a true deep threat. Having one of those opens up a whole world of possibilities for an offense.
  11. At the end of the day, the wr group lacks speed.
  12. Your work is highly appreciated by everyone who follows recruiting on this site. You’re one of the unsung heros. You do great work and the lists are fun to look over, especially in retrospect.
  13. McKinney is not a viable wr. Can’t catch downfield. People need to move on from that cause it ain’t happening unless he gets a pair of hands for Christmas this year. And yes to the rest of your post. It’s much harder to defend a diverse set of skills from an offense.
  14. My point with the WRs struggling to separate against better secondaries was about the tall white boys needing teammates with different body types and skills sets to compliment what they do best. A Greg Hardin Type.
  15. Nothing should have to be said for a team to be jacked for a playoff game. If anything, the coach should have to calm them down.
  16. Dev Ferguson was for one year.
  17. Who said I was knocking Danny?
  18. I’m referring to 2012 when Danny was on staff.
  19. Leaders need to light a fire. That goes for players and coaches. I’ve seen clips of Bubbas pre game speeches and those are not gonna get anyone fired up, others need to pick up that slack and spark the team.
  20. To be emotionally flat for a playoff game is inexcusable. That’s on every person in the program. Cannot happen.
  21. Lotta hot takes from ignorant people lately. I guess if you repeat bull$%!# enough someone is bound to believe you.
  22. "There wasn't probably the same intensity I didn't feel like on Saturday that you thought it really would be," defensive coordinator Eric Schmidt said. "That it would be really, really ramped up, and a lot of times it's because you're not emotionally ready to play." I find that quote very disturbing.
  23. Whoops
  24. Cal Poly has a massive endowment. Also the climate disparity is significant.
