  1. So any idea what the new design of the field will look like yet?
  2. Absolutely, We have been wanting SUU in the conf for a while now, a chance for us to build our own instate/inconference rivalry, however I think it will be a bigger football rivalry than a basketball rivalry I'm also excited about all the other BSC additions, UND, UCD, CPSLO, they are all great institutions and will only make this a stronger conference.
  3. Basketball attendance as a whole is going down, even some schools in the Pac 12 are seeing a downswing in attendance, Weber's attendance has been steadily going up the last few years, from only averaging 4,598 in 08-09 to the 6,494 we are now averaging. The main difference about Weber than most of the other BSC schools is that Weber IS a hoops school, whereas most of the other BSC schools are football schools, Here are our attendance numbers so far not too impressive, but not bad either Game 1 Northern New Mexico: 4,882 Game 2 Utah State: 9,359 Game 3 San Jose State: 5,765 Game 4 Southern Utah: 6,043 Game 5 Mayville State: 5,304 Game 6 Utah: 8,239 Game 7 Idaho State: 6,071 Game 8 Sacramento State: 5,903 Game 9 Montana State 6,134 Game 10 Montana: 7,236
  4. Who cares who you play, as long as your going dancing at the end of the year, In a conf like the Big Sky, thats all that matters
  5. Normaly, ISU plays inside Holt Arena, the womens team usually plays in Reed Gym. If ISU's mens team plays in Reed it's usually because the Holt is unavailable or hosting another event at the same time. A couple times last year ISU played in Reed a few times just to see which arena had a better home court advantage, I think both are tough to play at. But a lot of Bengals fans like playing in Reed more than playing in Holt because the fans are closer to the action and it doesnt feel like playing in an jet hanger. Idaho State did receive funds to build themselves a brand new arena, but the school used the funds for other things, mostly academic, which made the donor mad and now that donor doesnt donate to ISU anymore. Not a good move on ISU's part. And they did finally take out that cement floor they had at Holt and put in new turf and it looks real nice.
  6. None of the BSC arenas are easy places to play, but I would have to say the hardest arenas to win at in the Big Sky are Weber State and both Montana's (I say both Montana's because you have to play up there back to back which is not easy) UNC has a good atmosphere when they are winning like last year, NAU is always tough, PSU has a small gym but thier team usually makes up for it, Sac always gives Weber fits in Sacramento. EWU if they could get the fans could have a great atmosphere, and ISU is tough, the whole playing in a football stadium thing messes with teams. No easy road games in the sky. It's a better league than it gets credit for. Weber the best? Well lets say we have the potential, but we are struggling right now, we will find out what we are made of tomorrow when we play at BYU a place we have never won at and the Cougars are playing better than when they started, It will take a complete game for us to win. I will say that we are definetely better than Utah and Utah State, we play SUU a little later so we get to see how we fair vs another Future BSC foe.
  7. Pocatello is not an easy place to play, Even the stronger BSC teams struggle there.
  8. Im pretty dissapointed that our two teams dont even meet till 2014, I'd like to see us play before that
  9. That really was a great win by you guys, I cant wait till you and the other's join next season, the Sky is definetely gonna benefit from these additions. I cant wait till UND and Weber meet up next year in hoops for the first time, and I cant wait to see how Weber will fare against you guys in football, too bad we dont play till 2014. Welcome to the Big Sky, and go win the Great West. GO WILDCATS
