  1. According to my sources, UND considers Minneasota their back yard as far as recruiting goes. As for the actual reasons why those kids go to UND instead of Minneasota, maybe they just don't want to be pelted with dead gophers every time they step out onto the ice. Its useally better to be on the side of the windshield than the side of the bug.
  2. Yeah, just be awear and on the lookout for "Others" who are on this board. You'll see a lot of shibby being given out to these guys by NDSU, that other college in NoDak that so moving up in the world. They tend to stay more towards the football forums. Then, you guy your other WCHA team fans, Duluth, Minneasota, Wisconsin, and oh lets just go with a blank for whatever teams fan that see's this and gets all pissy about being forgotten about. I'm sure they will.
  3. Well, that was pointless now wasn't it Igor!!!
  4. Hmmmmm... perhaps Yooper can go on about more things to do here. Thats the boy's stomping grounds.

  10. Hey, doesn't Osama live in a big hole in the ground?? Right there that shows a lot in common with a gopher.
  11. Dang you're right, You don't even have any Football game pictures up!!
  12. It will be broughten, and the Smacketh shall be laith down upon thee. So says Monster 3:16!!!
  13. SMN, what? no warning to the Sioux fans to behave themselves at GVF or threats to the NDSU n00bs to stay away??
  14. Most of us really passionate fans have vehicals wouldn't have survived some of the roadtrips we did last year, so a few of us pooled what was left of our beer money and rented newer vans to hual ourselves to and fro. It works out to be a pretty good deal when you can split it between 15 or so people.
  15. They certainly would fit in the the Current adminstration.
  16. Yeah, BF1234 is right. Igor was never off topic, Just an Idiot. BF1234, if you don't like how things are ran around here, why don't you take your ball and go home. I play nice here with the Sioux, why can't you silly??
  17. RD17 is right. GVSU is stuck with a lot of conference games right now. We did have a non-con game planed for this weekend, but it was with New Haven who decided to drop their program, which has always been a fairly strong independent team from the Northeast. Its just that travel cost where getting to them, and there wasn't a conference there that would have been a really good natural fit for them to stay up on the national scene like they have in the past. Too bad that UND's open date and GVSU's open date didn't happen to be on the same weekend here. But I guess it will make the Playoffs just that more intresting eh fellas??
  18. Hey, why wasn't this a poll so that we could get an official count of you guys who would rather play GVSU in a kickass rocking playoff game than a *yahn* regular season matchup?? PS. 94 heads thru Chicago, to K-Zoo, and right on up into detroit for anybody drawing a map there. And put in a pony too with the snowman!!!
  19. Couldn't be us. Hell, we had us some chants of "fags wear purple" directed towards the Ashland players. *disclaimer*Not that there is anything wrong with being a homosexual* MafiaMan, I'm sure you must have enjoyed the shots of the Laker Dance Team. Almost as good as drunken Russian girls eh comrade?? Oh, and at least SCSU has girls. You should see the total sausage factory that is Ferris. You could be an obese hermaphradite with an odor problem and those guys would still be hitting on you.
  20. You better believe that!! I'll be bringing my whole crew with me. You don't want any of the Monster, Homer J. Simpson, and the Allentucky Goalpost Humper. To see more of my peeps!
  21. GSC will likely get 3, SAC will likely get 1. The SIAA is likely to get in at least one team. And as for being number 1, I believe in the old adage of "walking the walk" speaks the loudest.
  22. Those are some other things that are keeping us from jumping up right now as well. Whatever happens with the BCS schools will have a trickle down effect on other divisions as well. Its just that Some schools in D2 right now have the foresight to see this before jumping into unfamiliar water.
  23. Why would you want to watch McDonald's Hamburger, *now made with Soylent Green!* when you can watch Prime Rib? You know there is the possiablity that UND will have to play GVSU to get out of the NW. Can't tell me you're not looking forward to see who's the best 2 out of 3? So, SMN, if each of us Lakers that travel to said game at the AL(provided that GVSU travels ) byes you a beer, then all of our meals would be provided by you??? Eh, Hope you got most of your morgage payed off by now.
  24. I wouldn't look for GVSU to move up anytime soon. Dispite all of our resent success, we're still sorely lacking in top notch facilities, especially for basketball. Our gym there isn't much better than a high school team. We could work out some deal to play basketball games at a place in Grand Rapids, but thats fairly far from campus, which tends to cut down on the number of students that show up to the games. We could probably get the financial backing here to build an arena close to or on campus. But right now, our admistration looks to be pretty content at staying D2. They may have some plans on the drawing board perhaps, but they look to be way off in the future. Plus, there is also the MAC(mid-major DI-A) here in Michigan. Some of the conference schools are getting picked off due to all the realinement in DI conferences, and several other schools are in danger of having to drop down to DI-AA for football due to low attendence. I have heard some buzz that the MAC itself may just drop down altogether to DI-AA football, but I doubt that will happen all at once. I think rather that slowly, one by one, the NCAA will make them drop down. With a little luck a new DI-AA team will form from these former MAC teams, (plus Wayne State*Detroit* who is looking to move up as well) and would be an inviting conference with about the same travel times as we now currently have.
