  1. I have the "smart people's TiVo"...haha just kidding But I really do have a ReplayTV, it's like a tivo, but a little more basic and without a music server. One REALLY cool thing about it is that it has a 1 button commercial skip. An excellent feature for your recorded shows. A programmer created a java computer server program to connect to the ReplayTV and download/stream shows. It works really well, but there are drawbacks. I wish they would update that program's functionality as well, as it's been 2 years at least. The program works, though, and I use it for sports and tv shows. It's fun! PLUS, I patched the 40 gig hard drive in mine with a 160 gig I got for $40 at BBY. Now I have 160 hours on my DVR and a spare 40 gig drive for storage
  2. Yeah, he DEFINATELY did NOT steal that game...unless allowing 7 goals is considered stealing these days!!! St. Cloud simply was opportunistic vs. the gophs and was playing for their season. When they got to UND I honestly didn't see fatigue as a factor. They outshot UND and Parise came up big to help with the win. UND played with poise and capitalized when needed, but I didn't see tired legs out there. I think it is a testament to St. Cloud that they accomplished what they did. Woog and Mozocco were right, that even though they lost, they were able to show such pride in their program. They proved the power of heart and will power. THANK PARISE they are not playing that UGLY trap, hook, and hold style that some teams do/they used to. They were honestly the second most fun team to watch this weekend. Don't let your head get too big Mory...
  3. I do have that one. The problem is that the AVI files are way big...like 200mb. I'm going to try and make them smaller soon, then maybe I can get BGA to serve them.
  4. I beg to differ.... Many students (sad, sad, sad) wait their entire college career to celebrate a national championship for their school in one sport or another. I would bet that a sizeable amount of students will show up. And the best part is that they will be very well disbursed, so their cheers will unite those who don't "feel the need" to stand up and cheer! If you can't get it up to play MICHIGAN, you don't deserve to be here. I guarentee St. Cloud or Denver would LOVE to play Michigan in GF.
  5. I also have the game from last night, now on my computer here. Don't know what I'll do with it yet. I've encoded a few of the goals to DV-AVI to keep in my hockey-fix collection along w/ Spirko's goal from last year.
  6. I just finished encoding 3 of UND's goals into DV-AVI format. I did one in DivX, but it is so tiny and really tough to see. If someone knows a way to serve the AVI files, I can share them with you all. I've got Oshie on the PP, and both of Duncan's goals. Really, I have the whole game, but I only trimmed a few goals. Someone let me know what to do.
  7. According to many HEA followers, BU is having a GREAT year, and obviously finished strong. I think they are the team to beat. They apparently are playing really good hockey now. Depending on strength of regional, you have to like UND, UMN, BU, MSU, and I think UW might turn it up too. Honestly, the gophs better turn it on QUICK if they want to be included...but then again with the dynamic ND duo anything's possible.
  8. They mentioned that during the game (Hennessy did). Also said that Harmeson was FUMING about it. Lotysz said it shows disrespect. I would tend to agree, but it's hard to imagine this was on purpose. STILL though....

Who's this Ryan Okposo??? I thought for sure the gophers were getting Kyle? Maybe I'm mistaken...
  10. Have faith! A three goal lead is great for a start...especially with only one period to go. PLEASE END DENVER'S SEASON!!!!! I WANT TO LICK THEIR TEARS, and SEE THEM UNABLE TO DEFEND THEIR TITLE!
  11. Parise, would that be sweet revenge for Duluth to end Denver's season tonight!!!!!
  12. Can I say this now!? UND WILL ATTEND THE 2006 RED BARON WCHA FINAL FIVE!!!!! Bring on the Huskies/Tigers!!!!
  13. Keep the updates coming. When the UND game is over, I hope to switch to KDAL, but may not. Either way I am 100% for the Bulldogs. Down with Denver!!!
  14. As novel an idea as that may be... Are you actually planning on posting less than one time per the next 8 games? Kudos if you are....I shall have to hold you to that promise!
  15. Damnit!! I wanted my 500th post to say that UND's going to the Final 5...but need to wait. Don't want to jinx them. Then I go and waste it!!! BLAST! Underway in the 3rd. Sioux right back to work, a few good chances.
  16. Add Chorney to my list of assists. He fired the shot that gave Zajac a "kirby puckett-like" backhanded rebound. Sweeny gave the puckett reference, not me.
  17. Zajac's got a deuce, Porter's got the other. Lee, Smaby, Oshie, Duncan, Spirko...all with assists.
  18. The students didn't get tickets to the games. Combine that with Spring Break (not for me) and you'll have empty seats. GUARENTEED that the "only" empty seats were not student seats! There is no logical way even if all of the student tickets went without a buyer. It was just a poor showing all around. I'd give my right nut for a UND national title, so believe that there are more students like me who really really want to be there. Hopefully there's a better showing tonight.
  19. I think you were thinking of MSU Mankato...who has yet to play since that great weekend. Hopefully the layoff affects them in the WORST way.
  20. Thanks Sprig! Darn...well, at least we know that Hak thinks any of the three top teams could lose. Had no idea he'd say something like that. PS...and totally unrelated. I love having MN high school hockey on tv here in GF!!
  21. The fact that this series is at the Ralph makes a big difference. I think UND will take it, and possibly sweep. It is a very RARE occasion when a team just "switches it on" after a loss in conference playoffs. Denver did it. The last few titles UND won came on the backs of WCHA conference playoff titles. If they can win that we'll be in for great things. Remember that certain teams play some teams better than others. UND has OWNED Duluth like NO OTHER team in the last two years. Mankato looks good now, but without that sweep of wisconsin...perhaps not as dangerous. Those games were in kato. The Mavs haven't fared greatly against UND, and this year at the Ralph was no different. The series against Tech was GREAT for the fans. It was LOUD, ROWDY and ROCKIN. Now...4 goals in 3 minutes will do that....but so will the playoffs. UND's got a great opportunity to claim the Ralph as a place to be feared. NOW is the time to make that statement. It starts with Mankato...
  22. Saw Eric at Green Mill after the game. He was sporting a brace, and using crutches to move around. It wasn't a good sight, but he really didn't look too down. A guy like that can have the same effect from the locker room. He's got such a presence in there. The guys will listen, and be motivated.
  23. Bold prediction... So his hit on Bina was just a tickle?
  24. I think Hak has really gotten comfortable. Blatantly calling DU penalties "dives" does not happen often. His coaches shows, as a result, are much more informative and entertaining.
  25. That's the same thing I think about Gauthier of DU...I HATE that guy, all smug and clutch against UND. AARGH! Definately need to win 2 against Tech. Usually UND fares pretty well against them, especially at home. I'd be really surprised if the boys don't get it done this weekend. Wow, so Tech's goalies usually suck pretty bad, but Nolan...poor kid hasn't even smelled a victory this season. And that other guy is saving the puck @90%...not too bad, especially when you're allowing 40 shots a game.
