  1. Heading out to Denver for that series. I'm also thinking of driving out to SCSU and Mankato.
  2. He did help with a WCHA Playoff Championship. Its something...
  3. LOL seems like wishful thinking with the state of refs in this league. But...at least he knows what he might need to do.
  4. When I read the article you posted, I was thinking the same thing. That's a million dollar book idea! Very well written by that columnist as well. And I think I get what you were asking now. Not if he played in ND before Maine, but whether Maine played here when he was in school. I believe he would have been playing the year UND won both games at Alfond (Stafford's PS OT GW goal ). Other than that I'm not sure.
  5. According to Brad's article, he played for Minot State - Bottineau after being cut from the MJHL 3 times. I'll have to check out this article as well. This Davidson guy gets great praise from his former coach. It won't hurt to have a monster forward like that.
  6. I'm thinking Bina and Finley will remain a pairing. After that who knows... Chorney Genoway Bina Finley LaPoint Jones Radke Marto?
  7. He's actually talking about MSU (I think), in reference to the Nat Championship game. I'm not sure if they played the trap or not, being in the same boat as Fetch. I did not watch the game.
  8. This might be the "internal handling". Is it possible that the deal was: "you play if you plead guilty and accept the consequences"? However, court fines are not fun as a broke college student. JT is on the border of signing, so I really hope it isn't a court fine that sways him. Because NHL money would definitely help pay that.
  9. I think your balogna...and his upperclass scoring dropoff...has already been mentioned. I'd be happy if Lee followed that pattern, but only if it results in the defensive prowess that Schneider was known for.
  10. Andy Schneider majorly stepped up his Defensive game, and concentrated less on the offense in those years. He was one of our best his senior year because of his sound position play, hard hitting, and leadership.
  11. I 100% agree. I think wearing black and having the different feel and design makes UND and the jersey stand out. If every team ends up wearing the style it completely loses its cache.
  12. The first half of the season, not only could UND not score during the 2nd, but they also couldn't keep the puck out of the net. I believe at one point the margin was 26 goals against to just 12 for, and it may have gotten worse. We all know that it got better though! Honestly, UND has taken control of recent games in the 2nd period. I'm thinking back to the Mariucci series and UND completely dominated from the 2nd in both games. Fast forward to St. Cloud in the F5, and you see the same thing, complete domination. That period gives me chills! However, I do agree that the 2nd is a make-or-break for both teams. And really, UND's speed is much improved over last year's team...especially on the blue line. I think the key is once again the 2nd line. If they can cycle effectively, as they did in the F5 and Regional, UND will be a VERY tough team. If the line disappears, UND could be in trouble.
  13. Wow, so in order for Duncan to win the committee will have to vote against this: - From PCM's article on USCHO- "A Management Consulting major and a member of the school's Dean's List, Brown assisted in the Buddy Walk for kids with Down's syndrome, volunteered for a Kindergarten Read-To-A-Kid program and assisted in team-sponsored Christmas parties for kids." Yikes, doesn't that just play at your heart strings? **Tear** In any case, we all know Duncan is more focused on bringing home #8 than anything else.
  14. What I thought was great was when Johnson milked it and looked up for the call. It was such crap. I definitely think it should have been called, but for a just a shove... I don't know. Watching Johnson after the call pissed me off more than anything. Sooo glad they killed that one off, nothing like a little momentum.
  15. Station engineers very ADD today. Not sure if there has been a whole commercial played? Still thanking lucky stars that the games are being played LIVE and in FULL.
  16. AF w/ 2 somewhat good SH chances. Not dying yet! Maybe they can turn it around w/ a good kill and counter attack. Apparently Okposo's name means thunderstorm in Arabic.
  17. Still 1-1 30 left on PP 7 left in 2nd.
  18. Volkanen doing well on this PP controlling rebounds. Earlier he was kicking them way out...like Goepfert. MN running good PP, but only getting perimeter shots w/ no rebound.
  19. Another UMN PP. If AF doesn't kill this it's over. Gophers really coming on now.
  20. Crucial final 10 mins of 2nd. Momentum hangs in balance. Gophers appear to have found legs.
  21. MN totally dominated on PP... but comes up empty. 1130 left in 2nd. MN turning it on, hopefully AF can counter w/ full compliment of players. AF just misses, and Gophers counter. Barribal with huge slapper 1-1 now.
  22. Great save by UAF goalie! Okposo w/ 10 mins point blank, goes top shelf and goalie springs up to stop it.
  23. Johnson w/ 20 shot attempts on the first minute of PP time.
  24. NP... UAF needs to keep their hands on their sticks. They're getting really close to holding penalties. MN on PP now. Shaefer in box.
  25. AF able to roll 4 lines very well, everyone producing good pressure. MN should concentrate on the Lucia line. Other lines not doing it for Gophs yet. Once they get a bounce it could be over...but AF definitely carrying play.
