  1. Frozen and I were talking about Bismarck.
  2. The majority are certainly wearing masks now (as they were a month ago), but there are still plenty ignoring the signs in Walmart, Dan's, and various restaurants (prior to being seated). Of those wearing a mask, I'd guess around 20% have them under the nose.
  3. With Thanksgiving coming up, you should've stayed quiet
  4. The excessive (interpretation to the individual) regulation and Iran deal are likely. The rest is fear mongering and exaggeration.
  5. The mask mandate is in place. Masks are still as out of place (on chin or missing completely) in Bismarck as they were a month ago.
  6. 7-day average positive rate has been falling for 2 weeks. 7-day average new positive cases has been falling for 1 week. Hospitalizations and deaths are trailing issues, but hospitalizations have started plateauing. In ND due to low total numbers, number of deaths can be highly dependent on the population infected, but those numbers should start to follow the downward trajectory in the next couple weeks barring a new outbreak across nursing homes.
  7. It seems the concerns were over his Twitter and outside the classroom discussions. Not sure if it leaked into the classroom or not.
  8. While I found it an amusing read, I can't help but think he is sadly another mental health victim of the pandemic response.
  9. https://www.theonion.com/coronavirus-optimistic-new-mutation-will-be-widely-avai-1845725749?utm_campaign=The+Onion&utm_content=1606151715&utm_medium=SocialMarketing&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR2JE8dWKZSuLf62uHUIhTyY-Te3_KpjPqA_MngQxRoxvUyWyuGSZkOoqf8
  10. As I said before, it's not about access to inside information, it's about money.
  11. Once everybody is vaccinated, will we all still need to wear masks in public?
  12. If Biden had a party, he be skewered, rightly, as hypocritical. Conservatives still wouldn't be concerned about potential spread of the virus at said party though.
  13. Get out of the extremes. Washing hands should happen even in the absence of Covid-19.
  14. Good point. And agreed. It's just a little frustrating that a vaccine that is 90% effective on young people and still makes some of them sick is seen as the fix for a virus that doesn't significantly impact 95% of young people anyway.
  15. Weren't all of the people in T's circle already exposed to the virus this fall?
  16. Nobody on the left pushed back on Hillary's statement. The transition, at this point, is primarily a method of getting Biden's election team on government payroll 2 months before inauguration. Pretty much everybody on his team is an insider with decades of experience in DC, so they're already up to speed on what's going on. With that said, Trump should still start the transition process.
  17. Couple things about the vaccines that I'd like to hear more about. I've read the "side effects" of the vaccines may include pretty much all the symptoms of regular Covid-19, sometimes with severe fatigue, body aches, sore throat, etc (and sometimes no symptoms, of course). I've also read these vaccines are 90-95% effective on the test population, a population which doesn't appear to include the age group most likely to die from Covid-19. https://www.mcknights.com/news/clinical-news/seniors-are-absent-but-necessary-in-covid-19-vaccine-trials-experts-say/
  18. I said before the biggest change/mutation in the pandemic/virus will occur in January. With immunity changes and vaccines available, the ground work is being laid.
  19. Why does he need to concede? From earlier this year https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2020-election/hillary-clinton-says-biden-should-not-concede-2020-election-under-n1238156
  20. Not sure about the vaccines, but for those that have had the big C, that's one of the reporting changes that has occurred recently. Used to be 3-6 months, but now they're saying possibly years of immunity. I've read that even some who have never had covid-19, but have had other coronaviruses may be immune (or at least defended by B cells and T cells) for years.
