When does Brewster’s contract conclude? Is Mallory Bernhard ready to take the helm? 50 - 4, even at the high school level, sounds pretty impressive.
-
Today’s students do not see historic rivalries with the Dakota schools. Maybe South Dakota, but they have not been conference mates since before this group of students started at UND. Yes NDSU will resume the rivalry immediately, but the Coyotes and Jackrabbits, as well as UNI have not been conference rivals during the last 5 or more years. Rivals for us old-timers, yes. Current students -has to have time to develop again.

-
And UND will not have anyone advocating for them on the selection committee. The Hawks have to leave it all on the field the next 3 games and finish with 5 straight to overcome the loss at Pokie.
-
As Jack Michaels said in the pre-game show lest week... UND’s record so far is
win
lose
win
lose
win
lose
win
are we seeing a pattern here?
would be nice to see the pattern broken.

Boy . . . I'm on the edge of my chair waiting for that Split, cause y'all know that that split thing is coming. You know, that Split that no one really knows anything about even though they act like they do. Ya that one, and boy I'm on the edge of chair in anticipation of that ole split thing. Cause ya know, I don't want to get left behind and stuff. Ya, I've got my eyes peeled waitin for that split that coming sometime between now and never. On the edge of my chair man!
Reading comprehension is not your strong suit. Guess the post was too long for you, so I will give you the readers digest version.
I am not advocating a split. The point of this post is that G5 FBS is not a better destination the FCS unless there is a playoff system in place. It was about the futility of going undefeated in G5, even if it is 2 years in a row, like Central Florida. And that March Madness is more national exposure than a pre-Christmas bowl game.

... This team is definitely better off than when Mussman was in charge ..
This is the common belief on this board. Is it really though? Mussman was a better recruiter, imho. Braden Hansen and Kenny Golladay off the top of my head. Muss may not have done much with them, but Bubba’s only trip to the playoffs was with (mostly) Mussman’s recruits.
Now the general feeling among many posters is that Bubba is recruiting D-II level players. That is not bad when they are natural talents like Santiago, but this staff is not doing a very good job of coaching them up to be competitive. It is going to be tough the in the MVFC. -

I have no problem with that article, it's all true.
And i completly agree with "Perhaps it would've behooved Schweigert and his staff to stress the extreme importance of last week's game against an Idaho State program that is wholly mediocre and hasn't reached the FCS postseason since 1983. "
Guessing the problem is that he is based in Fargo and extremely pro-Bison... but he isn’t saying anything that hasn’t been discussed (at some serious length) on this forum other than to post Bubba’s contract, which seems excessive.

The nickname was Sioux, not Fighting Sioux in the middle 70’s

When people use these words, are they meaning on the part of the team (players and coaches) or on the part of the spectators (fans and media)?
Or the institutional support?

We can't run the ball and our DL is getting manhandled. No idea why this is not front and center, and yes if Bubba treats Baukol as one of the good ol' boys then it falls under coaching too.
When I was at the game in Fargo, I could not help thinking how many of their starters were "developmental" in nature. I just don't see consistent development with our roster. Never going to be able to recruit enough guys with college-ready bodies to compete consistently at the level we all want to compete.
Development at the FCS level is the key. NDSU develops their players better than UND. And please, no jokes about “juice u”. It’s not just physical, their mental development leading to how well they execute plays and not make stupid mistakes is a large part of what I mean, also.

Why dismiss offhand a coach from the most successful team in FCS history? Hoffner has Mankato clicking. Would be a very good get. There have to be some great options out there.
Faison really screwed the pooch when he passed over DeBoer, but UND would have been looking for a new coach sooner than now. In a good way.

Plus...with Summit offices in Sanford building, don’t believe anything comes from Sanford without strings. Krabbenhoft wants Augie in. Just sayin’.

Will both will get invites in anticipation of the ever-revolving door of the Summit? How long will Western Illinois be a member? Oral Roberts?

He gave it back to them too. #8 has to be the least likeable starting QB that UND has ever had.

I don't remember for sure the time the defender hit his arm if it was an interception or fumble.
Looked like an attempted pass thru Kelly green glasses. Was ruled a fumble by the zebras and recovery by the guys in red.

From Tom Miller of the GF Herald
"Ketteringham, playing in his first game since a Week 1 injury against Drake, was also sacked five times. In the last four full games Ketteringham has played, he's been sacked 19 times. "
Not very mobile before the injury... less mobile now

Did you just say Penn State and ASU are non-football schools.......?
Doesn't the statement here mean that they were either P5 or non-football
