I watch probably 2-3x as many Notre Dame games in a year.

They've had hockey for say 50 years, so an Intervention is overdue. My thinking is that BC got all of Notre Dame's luck ... 01, 06, 07, 08, etc etc
BC is Catholic in name only. Anyone who has been to ND's campus can feel it's real. The Irish are due for a Natty. Would be fun to see them face off with Michigan in the Natty, I think they are living rent free in the Wolverines' heads.
Beating UND would be a nice confidence boost. I think whoever wins that game makes the last four.

Per usual, I expect a strong bracket. I'll tinker with it the next few days but hockey is such a weird sport maybe I should just let my current rendition sort it out.
Looking forward to watching UND play UND! I dont watch hockey more than a handful of times per year but its a fun March/April activity once teams win or go home.
Think the Irish were pretty good this year. Makes it a bit more fun for me.

no but i was at the betty when the women's bball clinched........electric
electric>fun
What sounds more "electric".... #2 ndsu v. #4 oral roberts in Macomb which people had a week to plan to travel to or..... in Sioux Falls where everyone knows years in advance where the tourney is being played, and most of the schools' fans live within easy driving distance.

conference champs need to host this tourney...having it in sioux falls every year is total BS
Have you been the the tourney? I went only once. Back before they had this great venue. Sioux Falls is a great place for it. If they had it in Grand Forks....nobody would show up. Sioux Falls is a pretty good spot. Easy drive from Omaha, KC, Fargo, Brookings, Vermillion. Probably an easy drive for a lot of the parents. Can plan it out wayyyy in advance.
Its a fun atmosphere down there. Yeah its SDSU heavy but that is an easy sacrifice to make to have a good atmosphere at the tourney. Imagine a conference tourney in Macomb or Grand Forks or Fargo....it would be an absolute joke.

My boss is a UT Longhorn alum. What they are doing in Austin is bananas. $50,000@ year for offensive lineman. Their collective has 10 million dollars in their fund.
The rumor is that TAMU spent around $30 million on their latest football recruiting class.

I don’t think it is in todays day and age
I lived in a nice 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment alone on the Florida Gulf Coast for less than $50k... that was like 2018. I wasn't struggling.

They didn’t get left out. In fact, they were in and won it all.
Then 2016...whatever. I never know what year to use...

Name the teams that got left out who actually had a shot to win it all. If there’s a single team I’d be surprised.
2015 Ohio State

I'm assuming this is a way to bully the province into being reasonable. "Hey we will move our games elsewhere if you guys keep this up."

I never order steak at restaurants. I can make one at home that is to my liking (and its fun) with limited ingredients/effort.. I generally order things I'm too lazy to make or cannot be cooked at scale (for the mouth breathers, for one or two people).

my fav story about low expectations....blue moose has a great walleye sandwich....won a giftcard for longest marshmallow drive for the Northern Lights Figure Skating golf outing....went to Blue Moose on a Wednesday night i think and it was walleye night...YES! ordered the walleye.....server brought out a perfectly square 5x5 inch piece of totally fried something with a limp piece of sogging lettuce under it....she placed it on my table and i looked up and she knew what i was thinking....i eat it in two bites....she took the order from the table next to ours...walking by about a minute later she noticed by empty plate (lettuce and all was gone)...she picked it up probably thinking i threw it on the floor...she brought the bill and i used the giftcard and left a 20 dollar tip....she came back sheepishly asking if the cash was a tip or something and i said yes all of it and she smiled....BUT i haven't eaten there since (beers yes...food no)....
I have always rather enjoyed the Blue Moose.

Well, would we rather have SDSU or MSU play SU in Frisco? SDSU has obviously proven they can beat them, but could they actually beat them when it really counted? I think tonight's JMU - NDSU game tonight is for the Championship. Sadly it's looking like SU again.
I think SDSU would have a better shot.
1. They aren't afraid of NDSU. They've beat NDSU twice in the last year.
2. Lots of teams seem to take a game or two to adjust to playing NDSU. I could be wrong there though.
There aren't many teams I worry will beat NDSU in a meaningful game. SDSU and JMU are probably the only two, maybe Montana State can add themselves to the list.
NDSU doesn't look like a vintage iteration this year, might be the best year to play against the Bison in Texas.

It’s not a strategy for long term success. Turns your program into a glorified juco.
Might be fine as a short term deal at this level.

Juice Newton at ND State Fair was a disastrous opening for Heuy Lewis and the News in the mid 80s. She was booed from start til finish.
My dad still talks about that concert. Sounds like it got a little overcrowded.

I think it did kill like 10 years ago. After awhile...meh. I accepted many moons ago that this is just how it goes. Lmao.
