  1. He posted that he was injured on his twitter, nothing specific though.
  2. He got a suspension for the exhibition game two seasons ago for a MIC.
  3. No kidding, Rocco is a little different and maybe seems out of place to some but that doesn't mean he isn't very good friends with his teammates. He wouldn't just be bailing on the team, he would be bailing on some of his close friends, I just can't see it happening.
  4. No kidding
  5. This kind of confuses me, the cops were never called but the state attorney can give out MIC after the fact on alleged alcohol consumption? I didn't realize that was legal.
  6. I can't tell if you are being facetious or not.
  7. Big get, he is a heck of a player. Should lead the BCHL in scoring this year. I always look for your name under recent posts, because I know it will either be big news or a very interesting link.
  8. I would expect Charlie Pelnik and Luke Voltin to be on this last at Mid-Term. Possibly even Drake Caggiula as well if he gets substantial playing time to start the season (other than the first game )
  9. Everything I have read is that Thompson is going to shoot up this list this year. Adam Tambellini is a "B" player as well
  10. I really would like to hear some specifics, and hoping this doesn't get any worse.
  11. At least not yet..
  12. There has to be more to this story, the player's aren't allowed to have a weekend party anymore? Something must've happened.
  13. Or, just like the article said, he jumped the gun with his commitment and realized, no offense to them, but that he can play at a much better school than Merrimack. He probably committed at the first sign of interest, but then he developed and maybe realized he has a future in hockey so he wanted to go to a school to play hockey rather than using hockey as a way to go to school.
  14. Schlossman ‏@SchlossmanGF Uncommitted Penticton Vees forward RT @wmurphy93: Off to North Dakota for a couple #nottired Looks like he is coming for a visit, I have not heard much about him until recently, but last year he had 91 points in the BCHL so realistically he should put up at least 100+ this year which would put his year on par with Travis Zajac's best year in the BCHL. I'm not saying he is anywhere near that talented because I have never seen him play, I just wanted to put a 100 point season into perspective.
  15. The penalties stated in the press release. Parks' discipline will be handled internally and Senkbeil was suspended from all team activites for 14 days.
  16. Especially with the recent addition of Brad Berry, I would think we have to be the favorite for this kid. He would be a very big get, potential 1st rounder this year.
  17. When MacMillan and O'Donnell played together in Junior, O'Donnell was the center. I'm not sure if that will stay that way in the NCAA because I think MacMillan's game translates better to center (better skater, more tenacious, more of a play-maker than scorer, defensively responsible etc.) at this level.
  18. I remember him having a fairly late birthday for his grade as well, I want to say he doesn't turn 20 until February sometime. He will graduate as a 21 year old, which is close to the age of many freshman in NCAA hockey.
  19. I have been saying the same thing about Caggiula and Chyzyk for a while. I have compared Chyzyk's year in the USHL to Parks' last year in the USHL, Chyzyk had the better year, if given the opportunity, he could have the same kind of impact as Parks did as a freshman. I realize that Parks got top-6 minutes last year, Chyzyk might not get anywhere near that this year.
  20. I know most people think that we will see Gleason back at D this year, but TBH, I think he might be more valuable as a checking line forward. He is extremely gritty, tenacious, and fast, along with having solid skill. I think Panzarella is more than good enough to be a 3rd pairing defensive defenseman in this league, now the question is how to get the most talent on the ice at once. The answer, which you alluded to, is moving Gleason up to forward once again. If Hakstol doesn't stack the first line (Grimaldi-Knight-Kristo) whoever is playing LW on that line is going to be extremely lucky, it wouldn't be bad to put a freshman with them, help accelerate their transition a bit.

    Enrollment

Former Civil Engineering student here who graduated last fall. I attended NDSU for my first year, and UND for my last 3. I initially transferred to UND solely because of the DEDP (Distance Engineering Degree Program) classes that were offered. It basically offers all engineering classes online, the lectures are taped and you watch them at your convenience. Doing this allowed me to take 12-15 credits on campus, as well as another 3-6 online which I did mostly on weekends. I did this so I could have a full class load, but still basically work full time. If I would've stayed at NDSU I could have never done this, scheduling 21 on-campus credits and working a full time job just wouldn't have been possible there. If I could've done it all over again, I would have never stepped foot at NDSU, I just liked everything about UND so much better. UND is a larger school, but I rarely had a class that was over 30 students, at NDSU I would have quite a few lectures of 100+, even one that was 400+, not very much fun, those are the kinds of classes that would have been better to take online.
  22. Haha mostly LW, but in Junior I know he played mostly center.
  23. Up until last year, Brock Nelson was a natural centerman as well, I'm just saying look how well having the 3 best forwards on the team worked last year, and this year we should have depth the entire year, rather than waiting until the freshmen get acclimated.
  24. Here's my try Grimaldi-Knight-Kristo Another deadly top line, only issue is all 3 are right handed shots MacMillan-Rowney-Parks Too much success/chemistry a year ago for them not to start out this way Caggiula-O'Donnell-Rodwell Could be a break out year for both O'Donnell and Rodwell, I have high hopes for Caggiula as a freshman Chyzyk-Pattyn-St. Clair Good energy line, I think Caggiula and Chyzyk are interchangeable here, Pattyn and St. Clair will provide hard working, honest play.
  25. I really think Caggiula and Chyzyk will be guys that come in and play right away. If you look at Chyzyk's stats from his year in the USHL, they are better than Michael Parks', he probably won't get as large of a role as Parks did, but its not out of the realm of the possibility. How many player's come into the WCHA as true freshman (there first year out of high school)? Not many, Caggiula is doing that, so obviously the coaches think he will be able to contribute this year, otherwise there is no reason to bring him in. I really think he will come in and have a solid year and end up getting drafted as an overager. Schmaltz will be playing every night, but he will probably get protected minutes at least to begin with. I expect him to be QBing the powerplay from day 1 though.
