I wouldn't mind seeing Panz in place of Gleason. I feel Mattson brings too much to the table for him to sit, and Mac, Forbort, and Simpson are for sure not ever sitting. Put Gleason at forward again?

Anyone know about a webcast for this weekend? For some reason I remember hearing about having a free webcast both nights, can anyone verify?
-
Anyone else think Kristo's move, and pipe, is almost identical to this play by Jordan Eberle?
-
It was, but I believe when he came back for that one game, he left the game because of a shoulder injury. It could still be a combination of both, there hasn't been many updates on him lately so I am not entirely sure.
-
I believe Parks has a shoulder injury, a different injury than what was ailing him before. There hasn't been any new information on him for a few weeks now. All Brad has been saying is it is looking more and more like we won't see him before Christmas break. I would expect he is almost ready to play, and would be very surprised if he wasn't in the lineup for the first games after break.

I just rewatched yesterdays game, I think Senkbeil is a necessity on that fourth line. His reach is an asset, and he has become much more tenacious. After, how he has played, I can't see Chyzyk getting much playing time in the second half, especially if Parks is healthy.
-
The first 15 minutes of the game I thought were sloppy, but other than that not so much. The puck was bouncing around alot, which I think had quite a bit to do with the amount of odd man rushes given up by both teams.

This game could've easily been a blowout for UND. I wasn't even mad when Olkinuora stoned MacMillan on a wide open net, it was such an amazing save, I had to give him props.

On Canada's prelim roster, there are 8 players with NHL experience. I don't want to sandbag already, but this tournament is Canada's to lose (as usual). Hopefully the lockout ends to help even up the playing field a little.
-
No kidding, he has been a big disappointment. I thought he would be a 20 point player this year. I can't decide who is a bigger disappointment this year, him or Rowney.
-
And with 17 points thus far, he has already tied his career high at UND. This absolutely surprises me, the ECHL is not a bad league, and throughout his time here Mario never really showed much offensively.
-
Hopefully he picks it up, I was expecting Morelli to have a big year after getting selected so high in the USHL futures draft.
-
$12 a game? Wow a little steep for a webcast. Hopefully the quality is good.

Marshall Everson as well. If I remember correctly, Zach Budish was out his whole senior year. What is crazy is that some of these from that team guys aren't just college fill-ins, they are impact players at the NCAA level. Budish and Everson are very good players, Lee is obviously elite in the NCAA. Gleason and Gaarder are solid as well.

I realize that we are going to lose for sure 2 and possibly 3 or 4 of our top-6 d-men. I would say LaDue is our only recruit that is absolutely ready for every night play, Panzarella will probably be an every night player as well. Who replaces Forbort then? I really don't think Poolman or Crisfield will be ready for every night play initially. That is why I am saying another big time d-man recruit for next year is probably needed, unless Keaton Thompson finishes his acceleration then he would come in. I know its early but its looking more and more like Thompson will be drafted in the 1st round this year.
-
I would guess it will be hard to get a big time goalie recruit here for at least 2 years. After Clarke leaves I see us getting an overage guy (20 year old freshman) with a lot of junior experience to back up Gothberg. It would be nice to get the next big recruit during Gothberg's senior year, learn a year under the vet and then take over the reigns as a soph.
-
For the longest time, Ian McCoshen was the biggest uncommited recruit out there, who is it now? I feel we need one more big d-man recruit for next year, because I figure Forbort is as good as gone after this season.
-
Absolutely the skaters. Alot of uncharacteristic in-zone turnovers and holding onto the puck much too long. The goalies have both been solid. It had been a weird season so far, if they would've played a little better they could be 10-0, if they played a little worse they could easily by 2-8.
-
Absolutely, every time he hits the blue line on the rush, his feet stop moving and he looks for a rush. Go to the net hard, with his speed he will at least draw a penalty more often than not.
-
Apparently Parks has been practicing full this entire week. Right now he is practicing on a line with Caggiula and Grimaldi, crossing my fingers that he plays this weekend. That would be one heck of a third line.
-
I agree give Panzarella a game or two, but maybe try Gleason at forward this season instead of sitting him.
-
Kristo, Knight, Rowney, and Grimaldi have not been scoring as much as I expected them too. Once they start burying a few more of their chances, this team will be fine. The defense will figure out, they are too talented and too well coached not to. I think Kristo, Knight, Rowney, Grimaldi, MacMillan and possibly Parks will be point-per-game players by years end, but they need to pick it up starting this weekend.

Murphy playing on the top line for Team Canada West, Johnson looks to be playing RW on the second line for USA.
-
Time to get the season on track, close one on Friday, and UND breaks through on Saturday with a big, blowout win. Sioux sweep.

No kidding, from the moment checking is allowed, as a hockey player you are told to keep your head up otherwise you are going to get hit, hard.
