I think Q is a good player with a lot of potential, but the problem is that its predictable in short yardage situations. We need to keep the defenses guessing and last year I saw a lot of times they knew and we still ran right into it.

IN regard to the super senior debate I have to add that while the breakdown is similar it does not take into account UND had to re-build and Western simply had them coming back. A proper re-build means that the new additions need to gel with the team and culture and that happened. It doesn't always happen that way. My nod goes to Berry.

Speaking of old WCHA it would be awesome to see us play in Anchorage again once the team is back next year. I just accepted a job I couldn't refuse in Anchorage and will be moving up there in a month. Looks like I will have to change my name!

On defense it looks like they recruited a "forty" goal line defense, like a 4-4 with just 3 DBs this time around; but, that's acceptable. I'm thinking one or two of those LBs may end up at safety.
On offense they recruited a "12" group offensive package with a RB and two TEs. Again, I like it.
Where I'm disappointed is there are no specialists (LS, P, K) in this group (and that isn't on the recruiting but on one particular K
).

There is still plenty of time to get a few quality transfers in so let's see what the staff comes up with. As per usual I am happy with the class but we won't know anything for a couple years anyway.

This whole portal situation really does suck. However, I really don't think we will know how this affects us until well after the playoffs. I suspect that a lot of guys in the portal across the country are in for a rude awakening. Some guys will find great spots. The grass isn't always greener and 18-24 year olds don't understand this yet. I am holding out hope that after a few cycles players will understand that this isn't all it's hyped up to be.
It seems like we will have some scholly money to play with so I am going to wait and see. If we do not get some good transfers then I will be disappointed and will have some questions. In the end if the player doesn't want to be here then they need to go.

If a bar was playing it I would be there but at this point my backup is the laptop and HDMI cable. There also happens to be a beer store block from my hotel!
