Was just texting with a UND buddy and two NDSU buddies and sent that picture of the NDSU and Wisconsin double header on the schedule, may consider coming up for that weekend.  It made me realize......this fall will be exactly 30 years from when Mooney stripped the ball and we stopped the streak.  We were there at that game, only makes sense to be there when we stop the streak again.  :D

The biggest issue with these is having someone to oversee it and be the ultimate decider in where the money goes not to mention probably figure out how to bring donations in. That is going to require work. And (most) people don't work for free. So all the sudden you're needing to fundraise even more just to get someone to over see the whole thing.

Not impossible by any means, just something that needs to be considered.

It also needs to be someone who is on the ground in GF, Fargo and the surrounding areas getting businesses on board. It's not enough to just go after high net worth alumni. Get a list of alumni and sift through to isolate the business owners and approach them. Then go after alumni in high ranking corporate positions who have pull. IDK, seems like a good place to start but this is more than a part time gig.

Just win baby! I’ll hop on that bandwagon no problem. Best stadium in college football.

Such a fun stadium. I spent 11 years in Colorado and I would go to at least one home game a year. This year it got so bad that my cousin, a CU alum, did not renew his season tickets. I think he is re-upping them as we speak.

I understand that, but don’t you think at some point it’s possible to overdo it with transfers to the point where the identity of the team and the university it represents don’t fully align? If most of the key players on NDSU’s team were transfers that the coach brought with him or came in from other places, I would feel differently about the team I think. I’ve never viewed any transfer player differently than a player who’s been with the program from the start, but if the scales started tipping the other direction in terms of the ratio of transfers, I think I would feel different about the team.

In most cases I fully agree with you. In the case of Colorado I would ask, what identity? They have been a floundering program for years. Fan support is at an all time low and they needed a shot in the arm badly. Like Sic pointed out above, this is probably a short term stop but Colorado needed to do something big and they had the balls to give it a go.

I think what Petrino did at MSU is a joke. Bringing in 40 something transfers at the FCS level is idiotic. That team had no chemistry or unity. For Colorado, I would hope he gives the guys on the current roster who deserve it a shot.

This Deion situation bring up an interesting discussion. Deion may have the ability to bring in a massive amount of transfers with his personality and name recognition. Hypothetically, if Deion brings in a whole new team of transfers with very few players remaining from the previous year, and wins, how would the fan base view that team?

Nothing wrong with transfers, moving forward I think it’s an integral part of a college teams recruiting plan. But where’s the line in a situation like Deion and Colorado find themselves in? How many starters get replaced before a fan base would start to feel like this is no longer their team? Is there a line? I don’t know.

Colorado is full of people who are not from Colorado so I don't believe this will be an issue. However, this is definitely shaking things up when it comes to the portal, NIL, etc. Should be interesting to say the least.

He chose a conference he could win.  Stayed away from playoffs because he would have had his a$$ handed to him.  Instead will make a bunch and I would say a golden parachute.

He's already got 5 star recruits coming in. I think he will turn that program around quickly.

I'm not into all that social media but it's what the kids are into now so it will play well.

    Lemme get this straight:

Montana bids $126,281 and gets home game against conference champion.
North Dakota bids $127,500 and gets sent on the road against a third-place team (like UND is a third-place team).

    And UND's bid was 3x Weber's.

Yep, UND got the shaft. I really think we win this game at home.

    Let’s go FBS before NDSU

This would be so funny. In reality the best way to do it would be for a large upper midwest conference with the Dakota, Montana schools and whoever else to fill in. This assumes P5 goes off on their own which seems likely at some point.

  9. Of course UND gets screwed here. Now watch all of the gaslighting about how bids aren't the deciding factor even though we had to go play a team with a f%#$*& tent as a locker room because they had the higher bid.

Remember, against Montana St,  Weber had 4 punts that were snapped over the head of the punter and all resulted in a safety.  This is defintiely one aspect of the game UND has the edge in considering all our punt and kick blocks this year.

That means we have to force a punt though ???
