Turner and Haas are coming back

That is great news. It was nice to see the OL transfer from Portland State but I would like to get a clearer picture about that the OL will look like this fall. Kilty looked good in his two starts. I hope the OL hits the weights and buffets hard this summer!

Players to work hard (get bigger stronger, faster)

Belquist and Boltmann (and anyone else banged up) to get healthy

Pick up another player or two from the portal to strengthen a couple of positions

Host three great flagship summer camps.  In the past, we have hosted two of these camps where we invite top prospects in for us to evaluate them and for them to meet our staff, see our facilities and tour campus.  It is much easier to recruit kids after they have been to one of our camps.  The camps are June 10, 17 and July 17.

For sure but I obviously meant financially since you have been setting up all of the help Bubba campaigns.

AJS, UND-FB-FAN - you guys are correct!!  I shouldn't have made the summation of my post sound like a downer.  We should be very pleased with the spring season that just ended and excited & optimistic about the fall.

Heck - I am the guy who does the Let's Help Bubba fundraising each year.  For that to be successful, we need as many fans as possible to be pumped and excited about the program.  Thanks for pointing this out!!

What does the team need this summer?

He would have been 4th in line in the fall. I'm guessing it would have been (1) VT Transfer (2) Miller (3) New True Freshman (4) Graetz

I'm glad we ended up with Tommy instead of a 4th stringer. The reality is we would not have had the season we did without him.

Had a sick td pass against South Dakota

Yes he did. It was also one hell of a play call and the receiver was so wide open most of us on this board could have made that throw. I want to see him pass the ball in drop back or roll out because that will let us know how accurate he is or isn't. He hasn't had that chance so we don't really know what we have in him yet.

  6. We are close. I went to bed disappointed but this morning I am proud of how far this program has come along. I see a bright future and this team needs to go into Idaho State and kick their asses to start off next season.

To me the biggest issue is the D line. We needed to make a couple more stops than we did against a good team like JMU and we just couldn't. We have to get bigger and stronger there.  Between Schuster, Vaughn and Feeney, I really like what we have in that group. Also, Schuster was not the reason we lost yesterday.

Lastly, it was bush league move by JMU trying to score in the final seconds.

Actually, not this time around. Last I heard, 100%* of the tickets were to go to the schools' allocations; none were going on sale directly from the NCAA. Now that was when the cap limit was 25%, so things might change if they decide to raise it to 50%.

*Well, maybe not 100%. But close enough that it makes no difference. I'm sure the NCAA is going to hold back a couple hundred tickets for their own use and give a handful to each of their top sponsors. But all the rest were to go directly to the two schools to distribute.

That's interesting, thanks for the info!

Does anyone know if/when tickets will go on sale in Frisco?  Been cooped up for so long I don't even care who makes it at this point.  I'll watch UND, NDSU, and/or SDSU.  Toyota Stadium is allowing 50% for other sports right now and the NCAA announced 50% for other playoff games this weekend so I assume they will be allowing fans.  Likely 50%?  Flights are dirt cheap, the hotels are dirt cheap.  Just need to figure out the ticket situation.

I can;t answer your question but I do know that if NDSU does not make it there will be a lot of tickets available on the secondary market.

Didn't someone say this was on ESPN2? With that said, the ESPN streaming app works great on my TV.

ESPN2 for linear and watchespn for streaming (as long as you have espn2 in your tv package)

The way the schedule is the three Dakota teams play at different non-overlapping times...a triple header. I plan on being worthless and watching all three unless UND loses in which case my enthusiasm for football will crash and I'll do something else Sunday night

I'm going to be worthless Monday morning. I will be "working" from home.

so you just forget about the previous 7 years or so....JFC some people love mediocrity...still don't have a kicker that i have faith in, kickoffs not thru or to the endzone, muffed punts or punts fair caught inside the 10, missed xtra points.....

Yes, I would like a better kicker. In college special teams coaches don't have much control of a kicker. They go to camps in the summer to get better, otherwise you get what you get. This is not on him.

There were a couple bad years but the quality of players has clearly gotten better. He has some solid schemes in place and they are working and I am happy for that. You can sit around and whine and complain all you want but I am happy with what he has done.

Note to Danny........nothing to lose and everything to gain in the next one.  I'm sure he'll be prepared and I don't get the feeling that Bubba has much for limits on the O......until we were up by a large margin.  And for those that easily forget.......Fire Kostich, immediately!!:D

He sure has turned the special teams around! I am really happy for him and another reminder why you don't fire someone because of short term struggles.

  13. I also had Richmond visions until it was under 10 Minutes in the 4th Quarter. I do not fault Bubba for putting in Quincy when he did. We hadn't played in 35 days so I was not going to complain about starters getting a few more reps than they normally would have. A

I do think we will see more of Quincy in this week. We'll have to wait and see on this but that is the hunch I have.
